if I remember Keith Mason's dad he would never have done that he would have stood toe to toe with Fielden and slugged it out with him and he would have won the fight easily, Fielden as far as i can see threatens to fight everybody but for some reason never wins a kest (see Willie Mason and Lee Radford and everyone else he wants to fight with)
