| A few near me last night were disappointed with the attendance, but lets look at it in the cold light of day,as the season as gone on and the team as made leaps and bounds the attendances are climbing 200+ a game, not massive gains but sustainable gains.
Historically games played in the lower league we pull 2200 to 3k depending on who and which point in the season we play, now baring in mind how awful we have been since our illfated trip into super league land this 2200 figure from last night marks a continual growth and belief in the team.
Now with a little push on a marketing front could we nudge the 3k for the sheffield game? if new fans are to be attracted especially families is it not time to launch a family ticket for the rest of the season? take last night I know the club was running a family ticket inconjunction with the co operative I think, but was the offer pulled before the day of the night as the offer vanished?
If joe public said to his family, come on it easter I'm off work lets go watch leigh as a one off the cost would be £48 for entry alone for 2 adults and 2 kids, don't even go near the cost of a drink and burger

Your having a laugh - did you see how many they brought last year for the TV game.
Vikingman is already making his apologies for their turnout.
Let us concentrate on our own fan base - if away fans don't want to come that's there choice

The Widnes match is a TV game, fill the south with screaming kids again, Widnes are no longer worth opening a stand for.

Agreed Matt.
Attendance around 600 up on the same fixture last year, so things are improving.
We now have a product worth watching in superb facilities. Its up to the club to promote our team, and for us fanns to get others through the turnstiles to boost the figures.
If Leigh get to average 2500 for this season, for me, will be a fantastic turnaround !

| I seem to remember the attendance against Batley in Tony Bensons last play off game being around 1600. We're slowly getting back up and I was happy with 2200 last night considering it was a cold Monday night and few away fans.
We need now to be hitting the 3000 mark as soon as possible because come June and July when we play 1 home league game in something like 10 weeks, the townsfolk will have forgotten we've got a rugby league team that actually plays at LSV, and the momentum may be lost coming into August.

| Like most I suppose I thought the attendance last night was good, considering the time of day and the relatively low number of travelling away fans.
We need to continue to build, keep inviting 'lapsed leythers' along with us and promoting the good things going on at the club to all we speak to. The fev game would be a great game to aim for 2.5k, I always thought the 'bring a friend for free' for ST holders was a good way of getting people in, and with a decent product on display, there is no reason why we can't keep them coming back.

I like that idea, another possibility in a similar vein would be the 'half season ticket' further on in the season.
It was a very pleasant surprise the attendance last night and lets hope we can build on it and get more through the gate for our next game.

| The attendances are going up every home game so there is progress. I think 2,200+ on a Bank Holiday Monday for an evening fixture is very good given what happened last season.
If results continue we should be getting 2,500 for the Fev & Widnes games respectively quite easily. I hope by then the game against Widnes being on TV won't put people off paying at the gate. Remember we beat the "Chemics" home and away last season

I'd back that sort of idea as well. There are probably quite a few people who thought twice about getting a ST as they thought it might not be much improvement on last season - and are now kicking themselves!!
And others - like me - who didn't invest in a ST for work reasons......and now find their circumstances have altered - and a "...to the end of the season" ticket would prove very handy!!

I disagree there.
The people who will get in for free will fall into 2 camps - those who come normally and pay on the gate, and those who would only come if its free.
If the latter will only come when its Widnes and free then they're of no use anyway and the efforts spent on getting kids/families in instead, whilst the former could lose the club up to £10k in gate receipts.
Hammering our cashflow against Widnes is financial suicide especially when we've next to no income for 2 months during summer.

And it might also give people a nudge about getting priority for cup finals and the like
A "pro rata" season ticket or "try before you buy" and the like would also work very well, I reckon.

| We need a home stand , seemingly adopted the North stand as our own , especially when fans voted for the standing area when the stadium was designed . Definately for bigger games bringing more fans there should be segregation . More often than not we end up with a small amount of away fans in the North stand , most are ok but u always get the odd one or 2 that are idiots , suppose u could say the same for some of our fans .
Am sure we have had this discussion before and with the allocated season tickets for different stands our own fans are bound to be spread out , does work well when our fans in the seats join in with the singing aswell though.

| We should give away nowt for nowt, it undermines the product
Like the idea of a rest of season ticket, like the idea of a gameday family ticket, relaunch the U11 season ticket and put a voucher in for a tenner ticket to the Widnes game for an adult.
400 family tickets for the East stand v Widnes at £15, must be with a minimum of 2 kids. Sell them in blocks through junior schools, the 4 schools who sell most get a 'centurions day' when players coaches turn up, take PE, etc

| Thought 2256 for the Batley game was very good. People are beginning to sit up and take notice again now we are playing well and high up the league. Have to admit last night was my first game for a while after a bout of illness. Thoroughly enjoyed it apart from the worst cup of tea I've ever had at half time. QT is not tea!!!

I don't think a reduction in capacity is an issue at this moment.
At the Blackburn v Burnley reserves game at LSV, there was segregation in place, North of West Blackburn, South of West Burnley but unreserved seating, I've said before why can't we allocate the South of West section to away fans, sitting them together should improve the atmosphere, as daft as it sounds its the away fans which bring out the best in the home.
