As far as one team going down is concerned, I'd rather we went down than stay up because of yet another league reorganisation.

Speak for yourself. Its important we stay up, and going down all because the rules state 2 out of 10 must go down would be hard pill to swallow.
If we was to escape by a change of rules then breath a sigh of relief, learn from it and give Mr Millward the challenge he thought he was getting originally. Also would be gutted to miss Toulouse away (promised them in the Frog & Rosbif that we would see em next year)

Whichever way it turns out, we need to take on the challenge in the best manner possible, but I think it cheapens the competition (plus makes the recent stress meaningless!) if only one team goes down.

Think about it.....We are all there at the end of the Haven game thinking we are down - getting the Jack Daniels out, and the nooses. Then we hear over the speaker system (not tannoy as Alan Partridge says), that we have been given a reprieve......


Anyway the reality is we won't

Had it all before with the football. One year, we won on the last day against Northwich (the champions that year, no less) only to hear we were down after Barrow (yes, them again!) sent their reserves to Redditch. And then a few weeks later we got a reprieve from relegation, leaving us not only further behind in our preparations than any other side, but left open to ridicule by virtue of staying up at the AGM.

Is that due to their poor playing record?

How much cheaper can it be Matt with a team that can't be relegated and another that has special dispensations. It only happens in our sport. If a team cannot compete (on a level playing field) with the other teams in the same league then they should not be in it, not have special help. But all the clubs signed up knowing this. Having said that if we go down we go down and I will still be halfway down the west stand shouting.

Whether there's a match on or not, no doubt!

You can only blame the Championship Chairmen for this, they agreed to letting them in under that criteria!
