Just found out I'm at a conference (inc. overnight stay) through work at the Park Inn Hotel, Leigh.

Is this the new one at the LSV?

If so, anyone know anything about it (how good it is, facilities ratings, quality of food, etc)?
Looked at their website but it's not the most informative - though perhaps you locals would be able to give my the insider info??

I was there the other week and although i didn't stay over gotta say it looks the buisness inside. The bar was nice but at £3.20? a pint it was a little on the expensive side aparently the resturaunt is very nice but again is pretty expensive.

We spent a night at the Hotel and thought it was ok. Room was nice with a smart flat screen tv but drinks where a little expensive

In all honesty £3.20 in a 4 star Hotel is pretty reasonable as will the food be for the same reason.

How come people have been saying its been reasonable for food and drink on matchdays. Do they have special prices then.

£3.20 for a pint in a hotel is very reasonable,all hotels charge more for food and drink.I recently stayed at the Devere at Darsbury and was paying £3.80 for a pint of Carlsburg.

£4 at the Radisson in Leeds for a pint of Peroni

£3.20 for a pint is not reasonable,it may be the norm but it most certainly is not reasonable.

I stayed there last Friday on a visit back to Leigh...very comfy bed

I had a club sandwich and 'real' chips from room service...very tasty but obviously expensive...travelling alone I didn't fancy sitting in the restaurant, plus it was empty. I didn't have brekkie in the hotel (£39 without £49 with)...I met my son and had a Wetherspoons brekkie instead before I left on Sat morning.

All very modern and fresh, service fine...and i believe great value for the room price...only thing I would advise, ask for a room on the ground side(front) because there is traffic noise on the bypass side

Will be giving it a go at a matchday soon, heard good things about the place and £3.20 in a 4 star hotel is only to be expected, as anyone who has drank in the De Vere Whites Hotel will appreciate.

Just because you 'expect' to pay £3.20 for a pint in a 4 star hotel doesn't mean it's ok. It's still daylight robbery. Just as it's a rip off to pay over inflated prices for their food when I can go to toby carvery and have as much as i want for a fiver!

It's only "not ok" if it bothers you. Personally, I can accept that hotels charge so much for booze; if it revolved around the price of the drink then I'd just go to Netto.

I had a meal in the hotel before the game against Skolars but they didn't have the 'deal' on and I don't know how much it was because our host payed for it. The meal was nice but there's not loads of choice - loved their big fat chips though, all 10 of them!

Park Inn are now promoting the match day 'Leigh Centurions' meal deal on Wish FM which presumably starts from Sunday. (Choose from fish & chips,chicken curry or Lancashire hot pot + A pint for £5.55 )

All match day pints are £2.50. Probably best to ring the hotel to check before hand.

That's what we went in for but when we arrived they said they were unable to do 'the deal' menu because they'd been too busy the day before with the people from Haydock races!
