Yes best wishes to the big fella.Never really lived up to his potential when he was with us but seemed to come on in leaps & bounds at Wakey.Remember having his name & squad number on my Super League shirt.

a few have known for weeks he was not well, but it was a bit of a mystery, even to the medics at first

Not a pleaseant illness at all. Can be managed and able to lead a relatively normal life.

I know what he must of been through i recently went through the same but luckily turned out not to serious, Crohn's is managable with tablets but no cure sadly!

God how much bad luck can a team have, still they beat Wigan, that has to cheer them up and us Leythers.

I hope this does not sound wrong/inappropriate but if anything it seemed to galvanie the squad representing Wakey. They played like a real team. Even at the half time hooter they grouped together before walking off as a very tight bunch of players. We trooped off in every man for himself formation.

No unfortunately. Lots of tension between owner and coach which does not help. The lack of opportunities for young players does not help either and odd for a short Noble is very anti small players.

Then there's Rooneys heart stopping hopefully thats it for them as they say bad things come in 3's

Don't forget John Kear had to have an operation for a replacement hip too.

They have a proud group of players there and some of the experts know nothing if they were tipping Wakey to finish bottom of Super League this season.

I know they are from Yorkshire but they are going to be my adopted team for SL this season. I love an underdog battling against all odds - and of course they are going to do the double on the Humbles
