Is it pay on the gate on thursday? Or will we have to go to the ticket office? I'm trying to convince a couple of my w*gan mates to go and watch a real rugby team for a change

a few of them seem up for it at 7 or 8 quid for a student ticket.

Widnes sound like they are bringing plenty so we all need to try and persuade anyone and everyone we can to come to the match. Sounds like lots of people are spreading the word so keep plugging away and 'bigging up' the game at every opportunity.

Can`t see why it will be cash entry ........So get down earlier and get a ticket or 2.

Would imagine it will be ticket-only though they've been known to take cash on the gates when it's been getting busy (especially as season ticket holders will have to buy one) but don't let that put people off!

The mutants could pay on the gate at the last match I believe - I persuaded my parents to attend their first match for a few years and they parked up behind the sports centre and walked up to the first open gate, paid cash and found themselves in the Widnes end!



Fortunately our wonderful stewards safely escorted them to more friendly terratory!

They would have had the stand to themselves after an hour anyroad

My younger bro and his lad came to the last Widnes game and they will be there this Friday too he has just sent me a text.

I will be in rare attendance on Friday, due to work commitments I cannot normally attend games but I will hopefully be convincing some mates too who are wire fans and then we will drive on to salford for the 3pm kick off there...

Spoke to my mate, he said he hasnt seen any leigh games on the tv, he goes i mondays and sometimes the day of the champions league games. He said SKY is usually on.

i would have thought Leigh would have put your DVD's o their website, then people could just order them.

) BLIP has virtually killed that, just trying to push the 'shows' on BLIP -which are going very well (over 1000 veiwings for the 1st Widnes game 799 for the Barrow game and an average of around 300for the rest - which has earned me a whopping $34.22c since the season started

I'm printing off a load of the free kids entry forms today at work. My mrs' nephew (leigh fan) is having a sleepover for his 10th birthday and we came up with the idea of a few of the parents taking them all to the game as it is kicking off so early.

Id love to see the empty east stand full every week, AND as a season ticket holder, I dont care if they give the tickets away to every man and his dog. YOu dont know if something works till you try it>
Target groups say this week, all the amatuer rugby clubs inc union too, next week, all the local(not just Leigh) Brownies, Cubs, girl guides etc get the idea.
Tell the moroons at the LSV that 6 stone cheerleaders, wont damage the pitch.
To drop the prices of food and drinks more people will come in earlier.
To make a fans bar, like the MM bar.
Loads of stuff can be done.

I'd be happy if it was just opened and we got 500 extra fans in it. We got that for the Widnes at home game last year and the atmosphere was great with all 4 sides being occupied. Maybe it could become a family stand that could be used with groups like you mentioned-beavers, cubs, scouts, brownies and all junior amateur teams. Not just RL team, RU, football and the Harriers kids should be encouraged to get in there.

Bring back the cheerleaders for sure-definately added a family atmosphere.

Mate got a free ticket for the Mutant match and he loved it...... were all goin camping this weekend but me and mate are coming back on Friday for the match and he is now coming to all the home games and most away games he said.
Went to his for a brew yesterday and he had been down the LSV for his ticket for this Fridays game - this shows that giving free tickets away every now and then does work...... mates now hooked and cant wait for Fridays match ( and he`s now a north stander also).

agree with all of this apart from opening the east stand, if we open it then we have to put on stewards, take on food and bar staff which will just cost more. put everyone in the North and west, get 2 stands rocking

How about the South Stand as a family stand then? There's no clubs going to bring enough fans to warrant opening it now we've played Widnes. Let the away fans in the South corner of the East Stand?

If anything the East stand would be better as it faces where I film from now, and as far as I know underneath it it is as well fitted out as any other re bars and foodstalls etc.. BUT I do not think the Chairman is keen on free tickets, so I wouldn't BanK on it

The deals in the Legends bar are good on match days shame those deals cant be inside the ground too.
