Myself and a group of Fax fans where in the north stand behind the sticks and we heard lots of racist abuse we personally had abuse thrown at us! I complained to a steward as I thought rugby league was against racism! I have been to many a ground over the years as a fan and as a neutral and I have never experienced the disgraceful scenes as I did yesterday, a friend actually got hit in the face by a Leigh fan who had been making racist comments about Rob Worrincy ' the fan said if we didn't want racist comments then we should get rid of our black players'!!! I am going to write to RFL and send a copy to Leigh we don't want this spoiling our game!!!!

The majority of fans home and away seem to accept that something happened and the something needs to be done about it; the disappointing part of it is that there are still some who are so blinkered that they are in denial.

To any fan that has trouble or sees trouble. In the days of phones with cameras, just take a picture of the people or trouble you see. Then forward these to the appropriate authorities. I am sure it is possible to take a sly photo or short video (most have sound too) without inflaming the situation. Remember though not to post it to any website, at least until it is dealt with by the clubs involved and /or the police. Just wish I had been quick enough and in a better position up at Haven.

As for anyone who witnessed the inccidents in the ground ,they should name and shame them, no matter who they are .

Well after Fev fans where allowed to swap stands due to 'feeling intimidated' and the Fax fans problems isn't it time that the North stand was for Leythers only?

Also - the Fev fans paid £14 to stand and transferred to the £16 seats - not fair on those who paid £16 was it.

One of the great things about RL is that opposing fans can celebrate alongside each other without feeling like someone is going to wallop them.

There are isolated incidents but I still think thats possible nomatter who is playing.

One or two folk who breathe throught their mouths shouldn't stop it either.

halifax fans should have never been in the stand in my opinion! boot them all in the south and charge them the price of the north. The fax fans we spoke too when was putting flags up were nicer than the FEV lot

any rugby league fan in any ground should be able to watch the match in safety irrespective of where they are standing.

If you stick several hundred people in one small area you are always going to get the odd one or 2 heated exchanges or worse. At HP fans could move freely around the ground and home/away fans used to gravitate to opposite ends of the ground. At LSV you are corralled into one section and although this is fine for seated sections it does lend itself to problems with terracing. Allow mixed speccies in the West Stand but behind the sticks terracing should be reserved for Leigh fans and open up the south stand for away fans if they want to go behind the goals.

Out of interest, are away fans at Warrington allowed in the side terracing or just the terracing behind the goals?

There isn't official segregation as there are plenty of Warrington fans who go in the terracing behind the posts, but I've rarely known of any instances where away fans have gone in the terrace along the side.

personally it doesnt really bother me were they are put, but with it being such a big game it would have made sense take them out of the end were the singing starts!

any away fans with a big following should be put in the south, just to prevent things like this.

Find out who they are and ban them IMO why should the rest of us have to suffer being labelled racist and being caged in the north stand like a pack of wild animals.

Segregation is not the answer to dealing with racism, intimidation or any other form of antisocial behaviour at Rugby League grounds.

Stewards are not trained or registered security personnel and police presence at games has always been very low due to the lack of anything for them to do other than watch the game.

I have alway held the opinion that is the responsibility of US the fans of our club and our sport to stand up and say "no more". We need to challenge the idiots, silence the racists and make it absolutely clear that we will not tolerate behaviour that reflects poorly on our club and our sport.

To do less is to surrender our sport to the drunken, the violent and the antisocial, we may as well all go and watch football when that day comes.

I agree,you had the south open and we should have been in it.Plus we could have started our own singing.

Plus on your part you would have all been together and that alone would have made a better atmosphere, in my opinion of course.

The day we need segregation in RL is the day the game will die.
