Nice lad Warren is - but a good referee -No ! I have watched him three times this season, the first being the Rose Bridge v. Leigh East match...he had an aweful game.....East won, so not sour grapes.

The other two, pro games he was better but only by a small margin. He was in France at the weekend, they were seething about his performance.

Lets not get carried away - I know he is a Leyther but he needs to keep his feet on the ground and not get big headed, someone talking to him before he went to France said he was getting that way. He looks out for the pats on the back so he must take the critism as well.

Despite him being an excellent coach and a fantastic stalwart for Sheffield Eagles, Mark Aston is a hyprocrite and an obnoxious little toad in general. He's the first to complain when he thinks his poor club has been 'wronged', but then fails to practice what he preaches. Allegedly, his meddling in Batley's affairs has cost us the services of one of our best, contracted props for the entire 2010 season. I have little sympathy. Lets not forget, he's one of Hetherington's love children, so we shouldn't be too surprised.

True and I understand his annoyance at Haggerty incident as he should of gone off IMO! But moaning saying it was a dissalowed try is just making him sound daft, especially as he has the footage to watch himself!

Haggs incident has copped a 4 game ban... with clear video evidence fair enough!

What are the 4 fixtures he will miss then?

He would have missed at least two through injury though.

i think the problem is that the rfl seem to want to "fast track" him, no doubt he is their " blue eyed boy", and good luck to him........however on what i've seen in the last 12 months, i think they should be looking at greg dolan as the next "big thing"........also, on the subject of refs, did you notice the little marra lad got the s/l gigs in the last two weeks ahead of ian smith??

He completely lost control of the game on Saturday. There was a bit a needle early on in the game amongst the forwards which he didn't clamp down on. Then a Toulouse player dropped the knees on our full back when he was down fielding a grubber kick, which led to him being taken off on a spinal board (he's ok now). He only gave a penalty for it when it deserved a red card. Then he sent a Toulouse player off for punching one of our props from behind.

To be honest they should consider themselves lucky they weren't down to 11 men in the first 20 minutes. That said though the ref more than had his part in it by pretty much using prison rules to begin with.

My bad the Lezignan cup game at home is the fourth... in essence brining him back for toughest out of those!

Even if he had a clear run at the line does'nt mean he would have scored ,just ask the Haven lad who did have a clear run and knocked on over the line on Sunday,could'nt believe it

Widnes went on to score a few points after the incident so whether a try for Sheffield would have been the difference to them winning the game at that point in the match mmmm dont think you could say for sure but i reckon Widnes were too strong for them at the end,
