I'm not extolling the virtues of SL - far from it, I wouldn't currently cross the road to watch it, and I haven't got SKY. I simply feel that SL standards have probably improved, over the years, but that Aussie standards are constantly improving faster. In other words, SL standards are possibly at NRL levels of about 2000, but unfortunately NRL levels are now in 2009!

But still they spend spend spend, a skint Bradford paying £840K on a 31 year old non test playing Aussie rubbing his hands with glee, along with their numerous other Aussie signings recently, superb Academy there, NOT.

Is he also saying that Shay improvement costs are provided by Halifax RLFC?, As I understand it, the facility is owned by Calderdale Council and only managed by the Shay Stadium Trust on whose board Fax RLFC have a seat. Not having a go.

Where does he say anything about the club funding Shay improvements? All he says is that when they are finished the enhanced/additional facilities will open new revenue streams.

All you have said on this thread is something about the moon being made out of cheese. I asked you directly if you were suggesting that the Fax CEO and Chairman are lying when they say that the club operated at a small profit.

It all depends if you include input from the BOD to produce a profit , I thought it was first reported that you ' broke even ' for the second year running which is truly amazing if true

It's a little more than that Frank, it really makes me laugh when RL clubs report something like 'we made a profit etc...' its because they tend to shall we say 'overlook' 'the little guy's' bills.
They are not the only ones, virtually every club we have played in the last 9 years (including most SL clubs) have done the same, I'm sure ours is on another video companies list, thats why I like to deal with a teams video company direct (if they have one, a few clubs do them with internal staff).

Quite right Fred, is it NET profit or GROSS profit they are 'reporting'?
