I totally agree that EVERY club has its muppets but whilst we `re on a crusade .........DIVERSITY covers a whole spectrum of discriminations ......... Lets hope everyone is in keeping with these guidelines as well.

Don't think there was any 'abuse' that crossed the line today (in fact you could hear a pin drop until the crowd finally woke up when the players started scrapping) but I do hope the 'knee' incidents are cited (if that's still possible) - I knew it was bad when I saw the reaction in the West Stand!

The blokes on the ground having fielded the kick, Wray can complete the tackle easily enough but drops on him with both knees.

First post on here. I've been following this forum for a while and finally feel obligated to pass comment.

I sat in the West stand today, as I do every home game. Now I'm the first to admit that my language isn't always clean. However, when you sit every home game, as I have for the last few years, and listen to some of the ridiculous comments made by away fans, it becomes increasingly harder to suppress your thoughts and feelings. Rugby League is a sport that encourages passion and emotion and, sometimes, a differerence of opinion is inevitable. Everty supporter has a bias towards their own team, resulting in comments and criticism towards the opposition and the officials.There were a few Keighley fans at the game today, and I had the misfortune of sitting behind most of those that travelled. While I applaud their attendance, I can't help feel aggrieved by some of the criticism coming from them.

As I said earlier, my language can be poor on occasion, but this is, in my opinion, part of the atmosphere of a live event. I will always apologise to people offended by any throw-away comment I make but no offence is ever intended. However, a few of the Keighley fans were quick to pounce on my disapproval when Donlan was knee'd in the head, claiming "It's true about the Leigh fans then", and "you're a disgrace to the game". No racist comments were made, only comments relating to the tactics of the Keighley team. I was challenged by several Keighley fans and fought my corner.

I will never sit and listen to racist abuse from fans, whether it comes from Leythers or opposition fans. And I will not sit back and accept unwarranted criticism from away fans that I, or anyone sat around me, have used racist language during a game; whether these claims are misguided or pure fabrication.

If away fans genuinely feel they have been badly treated at the LSV, I urge them to complain to the relevant authorities. However, if they sit amongst home fans and make biased and, at times ridiculous comments, then they should expect to receive as good as they give. This is part of the game, and a part of what makes our game stand out from other sports. For my part, I shook hands at full time with the two Keighley fans who were most vocal in their grievance at me and the home support, and wished them well for the rest of the season.

Segregation would be a shame, and would probably spoil the atmosphere built up at the ground this season; an atmosphere much improved from last season. I've sat with opposition fans throughout the season, and for the most part, enjoyed the experience. However I will not, and should not, feel obliged to bite my tongue during a game if I feel my team are being hard done to.

Apologies for the long-winded rant. But I felt it was something that needed saying.

Trouble is, society is now full of bedwetters who think we live in a Jackanory wonderland full of fluffy bunny rabbits.

Its live raw rugby league.

whilst not agreeing with what wray did, in all fairness in the last five years he's probably been the most consistent player in the lower leagues, though today wasn't his finest.

Whilst also been an absolute nutcase at the same time. He's a very hot headed character.

I was sat in front of the "few " Keighley fans who attended yesterday and think some of their comments about Donlan when he got injured were ridiculous and very offending to a player who never shirks atackle and is anything but a play acter.One bloke shouted "get up its not football" when everyone could see he was really hurt.

Most Leigh fans just let those comments lie as it shows true ignorance against a player who is anything but soft.My point is every team has a few fans who we know should keep their mouths shut but usually don't and I'm getting really sick of the flack Leigh are getting at present, funny how we never seem to get accused of abuse on away games, when the clubs we visit are more than happy to take our money.

I have atheory that the LSV winds other fans up, it is a brilliant facility with free parking and apart from the price of drinks and food I love it.So away fans are jealous and have to find something to have a go at and abuse is one of them.I will say here that Leigh are no better or worse than any club and I just do not see what all the fuss is about.

Common sense Matt. I think Leythers are that pi**ed off with being labelled like football fans that if anyone did say anything racist, they would get pulled up on it by Leythers.

It is the LSV company that provides the stewards for our games.
My understanding is that they are professionally trained to deal properly with any incident and they are obliged to provide enough stewards to maintain a safe and trouble free stadium.

Dear god, talk about living in cloud lala land. Of course there are racist comments made at LSV. Same as there at every other sporting venue in the country. It's a sad fact of human nature that some people can't see past a players skin colour. If you wanted to take it to an extreme, then referring to someone as a 'big black b*stard' (a phrase I know I've heard at matches) could be construed as racial abuse, though to my ears it no different to saying someone is a 'big bald b*stard'. It's descriptive, not insulting or abusive.

If people are suggesting that is racial abuse, they need to get a grip. If, however, they are accusing us of making monkey noises and the like (That one hung around long enough...) then that is an entirely different kettle of cod.

we all know we need more pace in our backs so when we're recruiting a speedy winger/centre maybe we should get a player of African ancestry to shut these little band wagon jumping biatches up!

Black people generally refer to themselves as BLACK..........they object to the word coloured so were does being PC go from there....??

frank, I haven't heard anything racist at the LSV but I would be naive to think it never happens. I don't know how some posters can state catagorically that it has never happened, you can only take blind faith so far.

why are you so insistent that there is, do you have any REAL proof and not just hearsay from some numpties?
