watch out tommorrow for another letter claiming racial abuse at Leigh from Keighley fans I was in the North stand and Isaw a couple of female Keighley fans complaining to the stewards and saying that the Leigh fans were shouting abuse at Jermaine wray how many more are going to jump on the bandwagon it is now getting ridiculous this season is fast turning into lets knock Leigh season no one I can guarantee in the North stand shoted anything racial we complained bitterly when Wray dropped both his knees on Donlan but nowt racial what's the betting a letter appears in one of the two crap rugby papers in the next fortnight

Clubs fans have got in for Leigh for 2 reasons......1. we weren`t relegated last season and.....2. We are in 2nd place.

They need to get a life IMO.

Well the "Knees" Wray should hopefully be in front of the judiciary for that one on Donlan as indeed Jones should be for a very similar tackle. Two very cheap shot tackles....

He went missing all the game after the knees incident on Donlan........Charlie Big Spuds in reverse.

I doubt the stewards will take any action as they were probably in shock at actually seeing any Keighley fans.

To suggest there any comments is ridiculous, it's the biggest bandwagon of the season. Fact is, the dirty little barsteward dropped his knees in to Donlan's back, and I'm in no doubt whatsoever that it was deliberate as they tried a similar tactic in the first half.

I shouted across to Barry Eaton suggesting his tactics were a disgrace and that they were dirty barstewards. I also asked for our players to get Presley hammerred(usually he gets one and then disappears) and then to get stuck into Nicholson. On top of that I had a few choice words for Jones and Wray.The "brawl" disrupted us more than them which the officials handled very poorly. In general the ref was no more than okay but did not seem that interested in policing the ten.

Have you actually thought that some fans may have been racially abusive and you may not have heard it, I know the fans you apparently allege are making this up and I do not doubt them for one minute.

In addition to this if other clubs have raised this as an issue then clearly its a problem you may have with some fans, we all at some stage in a game get carried away but this is more serious than saying to players smash him etc.

Hopefully if picked up on video or by officials then the rfl will deal with it accordingly.

Its not a case of Leigh being picked on but if any fans from any club behave this way action has to follow as most fans are okay and rugby league does not want to looked at as soccer fans and their behaviour.

There are two separate issues here.

Wray's drop on Donlan, with his knees, looked disgraceful, 'live'.

However, there is absolutely =#FF0000no excuse for any racist remarks, whatever the colour of the player involved in the incident.

In my opinion, the perpetrators of both incidents should be dealt with.

Quite right but twice Donlan was kneed in the back and the ref and both touch judges missed it.
Well we all have bad days but I am sure the DVD will vindicate our point of view.

Last 20 minutes though we where dreadfull.

I totally agree that EVERY club has its muppets but whilst we `re on a crusade .........DIVERSITY covers a whole spectrum of discriminations ......... Lets hope everyone is in keeping with these guidelines as well.

Don't think there was any 'abuse' that crossed the line today (in fact you could hear a pin drop until the crowd finally woke up when the players started scrapping) but I do hope the 'knee' incidents are cited (if that's still possible) - I knew it was bad when I saw the reaction in the West Stand!

There are not many cowards playing the game but Wray's assault on Donlan was, well, cowardly.

The blokes on the ground having fielded the kick, Wray can complete the tackle easily enough but drops on him with both knees.

Like I said, cowardly. A cheap shot by a player who should be in a pub team.

First post on here. I've been following this forum for a while and finally feel obligated to pass comment.

I sat in the West stand today, as I do every home game. Now I'm the first to admit that my language isn't always clean. However, when you sit every home game, as I have for the last few years, and listen to some of the ridiculous comments made by away fans, it becomes increasingly harder to suppress your thoughts and feelings. Rugby League is a sport that encourages passion and emotion and, sometimes, a differerence of opinion is inevitable. Everty supporter has a bias towards their own team, resulting in comments and criticism towards the opposition and the officials.There were a few Keighley fans at the game today, and I had the misfortune of sitting behind most of those that travelled. While I applaud their attendance, I can't help feel aggrieved by some of the criticism coming from them.

As I said earlier, my language can be poor on occasion, but this is, in my opinion, part of the atmosphere of a live event. I will always apologise to people offended by any throw-away comment I make but no offence is ever intended. However, a few of the Keighley fans were quick to pounce on my disapproval when Donlan was knee'd in the head, claiming "It's true about the Leigh fans then", and "you're a disgrace to the game". No racist comments were made, only comments relating to the tactics of the Keighley team. I was challenged by several Keighley fans and fought my corner.

I will never sit and listen to racist abuse from fans, whether it comes from Leythers or opposition fans. And I will not sit back and accept unwarranted criticism from away fans that I, or anyone sat around me, have used racist language during a game; whether these claims are misguided or pure fabrication.

If away fans genuinely feel they have been badly treated at the LSV, I urge them to complain to the relevant authorities. However, if they sit amongst home fans and make biased and, at times ridiculous comments, then they should expect to receive as good as they give. This is part of the game, and a part of what makes our game stand out from other sports. For my part, I shook hands at full time with the two Keighley fans who were most vocal in their grievance at me and the home support, and wished them well for the rest of the season.

Segregation would be a shame, and would probably spoil the atmosphere built up at the ground this season; an atmosphere much improved from last season. I've sat with opposition fans throughout the season, and for the most part, enjoyed the experience. However I will not, and should not, feel obliged to bite my tongue during a game if I feel my team are being hard done to.

Apologies for the long-winded rant. But I felt it was something that needed saying.

Trouble is, society is now full of bedwetters who think we live in a Jackanory wonderland full of fluffy bunny rabbits.

Its live raw rugby league.

Folk shout and swear.

Get over it or stay in the garden centre on a Sunday afternoon.

whilst not agreeing with what wray did, in all fairness in the last five years he's probably been the most consistent player in the lower leagues, though today wasn't his finest.

Whilst also been an absolute nutcase at the same time. He's a very hot headed character.

I was sat in front of the "few " Keighley fans who attended yesterday and think some of their comments about Donlan when he got injured were ridiculous and very offending to a player who never shirks atackle and is anything but a play acter.One bloke shouted "get up its not football" when everyone could see he was really hurt.

Most Leigh fans just let those comments lie as it shows true ignorance against a player who is anything but soft.My point is every team has a few fans who we know should keep their mouths shut but usually don't and I'm getting really sick of the flack Leigh are getting at present, funny how we never seem to get accused of abuse on away games, when the clubs we visit are more than happy to take our money.

I have atheory that the LSV winds other fans up, it is a brilliant facility with free parking and apart from the price of drinks and food I love it.So away fans are jealous and have to find something to have a go at and abuse is one of them.I will say here that Leigh are no better or worse than any club and I just do not see what all the fuss is about.
