Obviously someone at the club has been reading my posts on here....

They’re getting desperate, eight weeks too late, mind. It’s very disappointing they’ve not referenced the fact we’re in a relegation scrap once throughout the statement. It’s quite a pathetic attempt.

The club must be so dissapoined to be resorting to this sort of statement. That's how bad its been, surely there must be pressure on the coach and his staff and those involved in recruitment and decision making etc from the club owners. I half admire the club for having conviction and believing that things will turn around but its been getting worse for a long time now. Take the first 3 games out and we are bottom.

There is no real harm in such a statement, but regardless of whether we avoid the drop, this season is a long term disaster for the club, season ticket sales will be hit badly and I feel a lot of fans will need to be won over by performances next season before returning. I've pretty much given up on seeing any green shoots before the end of this season, what's to be optimistic about? We won't even see the new signings if we go down and that's a very real possibility, I personally don't see us winning another game this season.

Yes there is a retiscence to say "relegation battle" isnt there?

We are clearly in one and we should own it. "Fight for survival".

How about no. Win for a change and you might not have to worry about getting money through the door. Why should I pay to watch us get trounced every week? Why should I show any respect to a coach who can't be d to have his team defend? A coach that keeps picking lazy cack like Holmes while he ships out Longstaff, who at least will play with heart while he cleans up elements he lacks. NO. Be a force on the field and then we'll be a force in the stands.

The fans will get behind the team, those able to attend at DW will be loud and proud and what will happen will happen. At the HJ the fans will again be right behind the team and the more the merrier, but if the team don't respond where does that leave the fans and the club?

If it comes to pass that we lose these two games we are in more trouble than I wish to contemplate. The clubs Super League survival is worth far more than any project surely?

Agreed. Supporters always get behind the team at the start of games, but when the same mistakes, failings and frailties are repeated week after week, I'm afraid it's just human nature for fans to vent their frustration, disappointment and even anger. As a professional sportsman, you have to be prepared for that because rightly or wrongly, it comes with the territory. I'll always applaud genuine effort, even if we lose, but how many Wire players this season can look themselves in the mirror and say that they have given 100% every week?

We will be going ,it might be a while before we play at Wigan again.

I mean, the fans are usually great for 40 mins or so, then things go downhill - but I can't help thinking that it might have something to do with what's happening on the field......
