Any sensible counter argument as to why he shouldn't start against Wakey this week, unless he's injured? I'd have him in place of either of our current wingers, Charnley looks shot of confidence (and a week without seeing him try and milk a penalty for every tackle would be welcome) and Lineham just looks cumbersome!!

I am pretty sure Longstaff and Wrench are both back. Neither played for Newcastle this week. Robson is at Bradford and has picked up a few tries on his travels, so I don't think we will see him. I don't understand what has happened to Doro. He has finished his spot on the naughty step but didn't play for Widnes this week. Riley Dean played for York in the 1895 cup semi ( which they won) and I don't think he will be back.

Thewliss at FB for me as well. Quite like to see Longstaff in the BR also, but I am wondering if both Longstaff and Wrench will play in the U19's game this week at Vicky Park as it is against Wigan ?

Agree with this, shame we don't have a serious option at right centre I'd move Mamo to the wing and Charnley out of the team for a bit.

Wigan rumoured to be offering Dom Manfredi around for next season and not giving him a bee deal, I’d be looking at him to replace Charnley. If he can stay fit he’s one of the best wingers in the league.

It's a big IF though. I'd be quite happy with Mamo starting on the right wing next year really with a quality right centre being signed.

That's a bit unfair, we have played quite well a few times recently.

Sadly though performances like the weekend and Huddersfield aren't that surprising with our Steve. One way or another we are paying him until the end of the season but I'd much rather that we were paying him and he wasn't involved anymore to paying him and waiting for the next pathetic performance. I said ages ago that keeping price is writing this season off and I still truly believe that is the case.

With no big-game pressure, I fully expect us to turn into the Harlem Globetrotters v Wakefield as per the Salford game.

Huddersfield? We are Jeckyll and Hyde no matter what the occasion. It all seems to hinge on us scoring first, or at least avoiding going a couple of scores down.

Not usually this negative but can only see a freefall from now on. Wakey on a winning streak full of confidence. Can't see our defence improving in 6 days I expect a thrashing on Friday. Saints week after and Leigh will win their first game of the season against us week after.

Charley must be under pressure. Powell has made a show of him twice this season with a back rower playing opposite him. Hardly a good audition for your now employer.

While there is no direct need for panic, there needs to be a shift in attitude. Defensively we’re paper thin, split up the middle over and again on Saturday. And against Salford we were in trouble a few times on the right, Livett scoring and a couple where we scrambled, you could argue a better team put them chances away.

Attack wise, it’s a game of give it to Widdop/Currie/King and see what happens, if not put a bomb up. Little else to say there.

The chasing pack, including Leeds & Huddersfield will have us in their sights, we’re only a few games clear with a really tricky run coming up. We have to play Leeds twice, Saints twice, Wigan three times and Huddersfield. So making the playoffs is not a foregone conclusion. Even HKR, who will be confident of getting a win against Salford at the weekend, will be on our tails.

Blimey...if this does happen then price and his cronies have got to go...tbh can see wakey winning on Friday then a mailing at saints..and a golden point victory over leigh
