I have read the minutes of the meeting and both read the same, I didn’t see the HKR game so can’t comment on Tomkins ban,Roby’s did not look good so can anyone enlighten me. Putting aside the club bickering , the Roby one did not look great , his previous record may have gone in his favour .

Trueman was milking it. He was suddenly completely fine once the card came out. Roby didn't intend to do that. I've never in my life seen that man do anything remotely grubby, in fact I don't think I've ever seen him get angry. Milking the injury so referees can see the incident replayed several hundred times is something that has come into the game over recent years. I don't think they should be allowed any access to match coverage whilst a player is down injured, or it should be limited to one or two replays. You often see the physio race on and tell the player to stay down and they lie there chatting in the hope the ref changes the decision after deciding on the 9th replay that it does look quite bad. If they don't the player gets up appealing and is suddenly fine, if they get the decision the player jumps up and is fine.

I thought the three crusher tackles at the weekend were pretty similar, in fact very, very similar. One wasn't even a penalty, one was a penalty and on-report and the third was penalty and a yellow card. What does that say about consistency in Super League?

Backing into a tackle always has the potential for pressure to be inadvertently placed on neck/spine. As soon as Currie realised what was happening he reacted appropriately, not sure what else he could have done.

Roby`s tackle was probably the most blatant and one of the worst crusher tackles I have seen in a long time, the fact he dropped his full body weight on a player in such a vulnerable position it really has baffled me as to how a sin bin is sufficient.

Truman is a great actor by the way, the look of anguish on his face really fooled me and a lot of other people - Also not sure if you know this but any player with a suspected neck injury is always advised to keep perfectly still, that is really common knowledge.

I don’t know how anyone on here can moan about Roby not getting a ban when Currie hasn’t either.

There was quite a gap between Currie's Body & TT when he dropped (I don't mean in an overly bad way) down on him which said to me he had time to position himself better and not bend the Head/neck that way.

Second, There was a lot of talk about "Backing in to the tackle" by the commentators (Which I agree can prove difficult for the defender) but as far as I remember TT was pretty much going forward and only at the very last second was he turned sideways.
The commentators almost seem to automatically think that the backing in is creating the Crusher situation (Which does have a contributing effect but not for me in this instance).

Don't think it was a bad one but it was a penalty for me, but Hey ho, certainly not the reason we lost.
