Can he fill in at second row as well?

Hmm, not sure on that one, it seems like it would be a signing for signings sake.

We would be losing Russell I guess, so be down to one reserve winger. (Taylor Prell doesn't ever seem to get a mention, is he a realistic first team prospect?) Pomeroy covers centre too of course, but we already have T King as first reserve for that spot.

I think we need more troops. We have been relatively fortunate on the injury front so far. A big, tough lad with good hands is always useful ... at the right price.

He did a job for us in our hours of need...however there's no room for compassionate obligation.

I would have him. Losing Russell and not worth saying 'we have Toby King as cover' as he only plays half a dozen games a year.

Most comments when he played before were very positive. You can't say that about everyone we has played for us. We would know what we are getting.

Pomeroy did quite well last year but is well in to his 35th year now so Brown is a better option for cover in the backs. Including Ben Harrison, I think we have lost 14 players from last year and signed only 7 albeit at much higher quality apart from Hiku. There is probably not much left in the salary cap though as Hill, Clark, Currie, Roberts, Ratchford, Charnley and Goodwin will be on good contracts and we will probably still have to cover some of Russell’s wages.
