Take a bow! I know it didn't result in a score but I can't remember any prop managing a run like that in the 40+ years I've been watching.

There was a try he scored from around the halfway line (against Saints? at home) which was awarded, but subsequent replays suggested there was a knock on (ball hit Saints player & was regathered). |

Much as I admired "twinkle toes" Chissy, the idea of him being able to run 90 metres like that beggars belief (not saying it didn't happen, just I can't imagine it). He was hardly the most svelte of props! |

It would appear that all you needed to break open a defence in those days was to sidestep once and you were through. It made for a much more entertaining game though. |

LOL. He was the original flying pig. He scored too - under the sticks at the railway end where I was ball boy. He got up and said something like "I'm jiggered now". Happy times.

I love these old vids-think I've got a copy of that somewhere. Decent quality that one, but a bit tiny on my phone. Mark Jones of Hull trying to be an enforcer around 9-10 mins in on that. Don't ever recall him putting as good a shot as he gets on Tees when he played for us! |
