| Yeah that's what they were chanting.
Didn'tthe RFL have the audacity to ban a couple of their players a few weeks back, and the fragile little souls down at langtree park got all upset?
Their fish faced chairman in particular got very upset and had probably just recovered last night and the ref and us pooped on their party.

| I also wondered this. The only reason I could think of was because it was on a Thursday night?

| I'm guessing they've forgotten all about the Joynt voluntary tackle that won them a grand final?

| According to SOME Saints supporters they are now adamant that Thursday was engineered by the RFL to ensure we reached Old Trafford. The RFL and Sky are working hand in glove to ensure close matches and the game is boring and they don't want to watch it any more.
I have to say as far as their own team is concerned they are boring, and the "Entertainers" tag hasn't been relevant for a few years, Wigan may be effective but are also very dull to watch (bar the end of our last game).
So if the game is duller than it used to be they should be looking closer to home.
As for the conspiracy theorists who paid Ben Flower to throw the Grand Final in the most spectacular fashion? And as for match fixing I'm only aware of 1 team being involved in a betting scandal...easy this conspiracy lark isn't it.
Smacks of sour grapes, they were happy enough to crow whenever they beat us "again", and they clearly thought they would win this game comfortably.
Some Saints fans tbf acknowledge that it's sport and these things happen.

| Well ,they wouldn't have had any problems with the referee or the RFL had the result gone their way.
Just a bunch of poor losers !

| Not so.
An acronym makes a pronoucable word from its represented letters, such as laser, radar or scuba, whilst an initialism just pronounces the initial letters of the words it represents, such as RFL.

I know this difference between an acronym and the type of acronym that is an initialism.
You'll be telling me a square isn't a rectangle next.

It appears you don't: acronyms are a subset of initialisms not the other way around, at least according to the OED ( public.oed.com/the-oed-today/gui ... f-the-oed/).
You could always try arguing that a rectangle is a square.

An acronym is a type of initialism and an initialism is a type of acronym. Whichever way you say it, it is correct. I never mentioned subset of...although the square being a rectangle could appear to give you that view.
Anyway I wave the white flag now the banter is boring. RFL is not an acronym.
