| My eldest was friends with them, especially Kris who was a Wire fan. They're music was really starting to take-off. They were on there way to the airport as they were meant to be playing a gig in Surrey today. An awful tragedy.

| I wondered if any of the lads were Wire fans and part of our Rugby League family being from Warrington. Tragically sad news. Thoughts and love going out to all their families and friends. Rest in Peace.

| Viola Beach were an amazing up and coming band. Jack Dakin, the drummer was a very good amateur rugby league player. He played for Rylands, then Crosfields, even managing to get into the Lancashire training squad at 16's. His rugby took a back seat when it started to interfere with his real passion, music.
Sky played 'Swings & Waterslides' to the closing credits of Wigan v Broncos game on saturday night.
RIP

| What slightly winds me up about this was if people had bothered with them initially before the tragedy then they wouldn't have been working their absolute knackers off trying to gain the support they needed. Support your local music, not guff like X factor.
RIP lads.
