Just seen it announced that the Dewsbury cup game is to be held on a Friday evening.

Zero consideration for travelling supporters in my opinion.

joking had a nice little pub crawl planned for the Sunday. The ground ain't far from me. They did the same last year for the Wigan match.

Why didn't someone tell them they would have got a lot bigger crowd if it had been on Sunday afternoon or even Saturday night.

Good decision. Gives us more time to prepare for the Salford game the following Friday night.

I had already contacted my usual car full to ask whether they wanted to go on the Sunday, and all had agreed. Not Going now, and I have emailed Dewsbury to tell them of my disappointment and have expressed my opinion that they have lost a lot of revenue.

Both clubs offering a discount to season ticket holders who purchase tickets before 10th may.£3.00 off,junior season ticket holders get in free.

Don't forget to email Warrington, as both clubs have to agree to the fixture date.

How about a bit of consideration for the Dewsbury players who have to go to work on Monday?

A Saturday late afternoon KO would have been perfect following an ale trail, but, hey ho it is what it is and I understand that trans Pennine Friday's aren't ideal.

Lucky to work in Manchester, so its an easy train journey for Uncle Rico of 45 minutes each way and lots of options re time to depart and return after the game. Rather selfishly, I'm going rather than moaning and looking forward to visiting a new (to me) ground and making up for missing game v Widnes as out of town.

We will take 600/700 on the Friday night. If it was a Saturday, may have got up to 1000. I don't think the numbers will travel whatever day as people expect a comfy win

The ale trail ? Looking at some of our fans at Wigan & Widnes I wouldn't let them sniff a barmaids apron.

The same fans that probably wouldn't know the HJ Stadium if you picked them up and dropped them outside the entrance.

No consideration for supporters at all. If this game had been played on a Saturday or Sunday then there would be more supporters in the ground providing more income to Dewsbury. Instead they play it on Friday when most people are at work. Remember without supporters there isn't a sport.

Same goes for Thursdays, crap idae designed to appease Sky.

Dewsbury are merely just using their home advantage to... Well to THEIR advantage. Get a grip everyone. We have Salford the Friday after so are getting a good weeks turn around

Can we all just admit the only reason people aren't going to this match is because it's against Dewsbury and they expect an easy game?

People might like the trip out but they are less likely to make the effort of an early finish etc. than if we're playing Leeds. We would definitely take more if it was a Sunday. And before we get into any "superfan" b*llocks I probably wouldn't have bothered going whatever day it was on. I'm sure I'd enjoy it but I'll save my pence.
