| Who would you have as our next captain?
Ideally, you'd want it to be someone who's going to be first choice and around for at least the next five years. Of course, we don't know who might go Down Under or elsewhere, but that offers a list something like the following:
Myler
Ratchford
Riley
Hill
Currie
Grix
Harrison
Evans
O'Brien
Of those, I'd think Myler, Ratchford, Grix and Hill were the most obvious, with Currie slightly longer term. But whoever takes over from Morley will be the captain of a team with some very seasoned old pros, and I'm not sure any of them are ready.
So one of the older heads for a season or two?
Higham
Hodgson
J Monas
Woody
Briers?
For me, Micky Higham or Simon Grix as (c) with Myler as (vc) and long-term successor. Higham and Grix are both intelligent guys, know the game inside out and well respected within the squad I think.
Maybe it doesn't matter. Maybe I'm still drunk on Higham's performance on Monday night. Thoughts?

| Doubt it will be Mickey Higham, described by Tony this week as the clubs whipping boy and the butt of most jokes!

| Long Term i reckon Ratchford, he's seems to have an air of cocky self assured-ness about him.
Next season Hodgson without a doubt, Briers vice

Trent doesn't seem to be vocal on the pitch. But that could be because he is letting Moz do his job as Captain.
My choice would be Super Ben, think of the fear he would strike into any team mate that wasn't pulling his weight.

| I've had a good think about this, this week, since the news of Moz moving on. I have to say my man would be Richie Myler. His steady improvement has seen him go from targeted man in defence who had some nice ball skills but was dropped from the 2010 CC final side, to a lad who rarely ever misses a tackle who added some brilliant support play to his game with great involvement in damaging plays that have lead to tries and wins - his kicking game has become a huge factor too - and he looks good to be a big part of England's set-up as well as the Wire for the coming years. I think he speaks well too, which helps.
So the future and ongoing Wire captaincy should go to the only man from Widnes with a full time job.

| Grix for mine, unless there is a big 'marquee' signing which to be honest I doubt. Captained v Widnes didn't he?
