I just can't even believe it was referred upstairs. Ran in a straight line and just slowed down. Whether intended to block player or not it was never illegal. Very astute play actually.

This is the same Eddie Hemmings that praised Stefan Marsh for blocking Ben Cockayne when Hep Cahill went the full length in the very first Sky game...he then mentioned quite calmly how he got one on the back for his troubles. Where was the not in the spirit of the game bull then?

Ok, I have not properly seen the replays of this having just returned from the game. So the try was given as the vr thought no obstruction. Atkins was in the clear but what would have happened if Bulls player had pushed Riley who then collided with Atkins thus stopping the try being scored. Would a penalty have been given to Wire where the incident ooccured or would there then be a case for a penalty try? It never came to that but it was just a discussion we were having at the time.

The Bradford player was frustrated that 10 seconds before his team were on the attack and we had indeed 'turned defence into attack', when he realised he wasn't reaching Atkins he made a play for Riley, his movement was towards Riley not vice versa. It was a touch of frustration, understandable.

I think even Phil Clarke felt Eddie was making too big of a deal about very little.

Dont think it was obstruction, but looking directly at defender b4 slowing down was not brightest idea

Except, if you don't change your run path and somebody is coming directly at you, they you SHOULD slow done as the speed of the collision can have an impact as to whether you get hurt or not.

Eddie made himself look like a total girl last night. He called it wrong, realised that he'd made a mistake, but wouldn't man up and admit it.

You can run what ever line you want in support of the ball carrier as long as your in a position to receive the ball ! Don't know why this is even being debated if Riley was infront of Atkins and blocking players fair enough but he wasn't it's just Eddie sucking Stevo And the RFLs Todger cos he's in Yorkshire and the fact he's a muppet ! And pretty clueless !

I sometimes turn the sound off on the telly and put the commentary on from the radio.

Atkins could of run all the way to Manningham lane no one would of got a hand on him..

Two things: Atkins wasn't get caught, and; Riley was pushed for no sound reason, ergo a penalty for us for tackling a player off the ball.

Whenever I watch the sky games, it's with the sound off and either local radio or 5 Live Sports Extra commentary.

The way Hemmings went nuts over it and then when the replay showed nothing wrong he wouldn't budge an inch was just cringeworthy... Clown..!

Almost as bad as the comments about obstruction by Eddie and Stevo were Phil Clarke's comments on the disallowed Michael Platt try. His words, "He's got to give that", before a bit of silence where he realises that his leg is in touch...

Also when they said if u have the ball down at exactly the same time as your foot is in touch it should be a try.

There outdated, we need to get some new blood. A proper presenter like they have in all other sports and maybe some more recently retired players like carney and wells, the best 2 imo!

Ellery Hanley could be a shout, You have to respect that guys opinion! I would also like a 'bumble' style commentator for a comic angle. Maybe Barrie Mac is worth giving a shot at SL games! Dave woods would be better than Eddie and Stevo. Id deffo stay away from French and Davies though!
