Wonder if it would be worth sending him out on loan to get his fitness up.

It's not like we are in a crisis where we need to bring him back urgently and after a bad layoff it might not do any harm to give him say 4 games elsewhere to get back up to match fitness. Maybe ask PC if Widnes would be interested in having King for a month spell.

Injuries aside,the way things are going he's going to struggle to get his place back, unless Smith decides to rest Evans.

Its not bait, it might sound fanciful but why not? I wouldn't send him on loan to a rival SL club. He's had a bad injury and could do with a few games maybe not full 80 minutes, to get him back to speed, yeah sure we could use him in the reserves but imagine the draw of sending him to Widnes for a bit, that would be good publicity for them, get some crowds in, help Widnes push for a franchise. More exciting stuff than playing him in the reserves.

Think he might go at the end of the season. So it is good to know there is replacement.

Funny how we're now feeling sorry for Rhys, should King take his place....no-one's mentioned Riley, let alone Atkins...it's great for Smith to have such dilemmas. Gone are the days when we've had to to put "quality" like the Peters bros in the 3/4 line

Five weeks is a long time in rugby. The way we've been playing; I'd agree that he would not be a shoe in for a place in the starting 13. But it is unrealistic to assume all the 17 from Sunday will be fit in five weeks time.

I think it's great news that we will have another quality player fit sooner than expected. When he is, we can then look at all the available players and argue whether or not he warrants a place. It's a squad game, and the more players we have fit and waiting in the sidelines the better. It boosts the performance of those that do get picked.

Why would they need to pay his full wages? We're paying him while he's injured so we could pay him to get match fit. I suppose there would probably be some insurance issues that need considering to do with loan players.

I wouldn't be suggesting this if he'd just had a bang on the knee and was out for two weeks but after having major surgery where the comeback is a bit more involved I think it would be worth it. Otherwise how do we bring him back, into a winning team? Bring someone off for the sake of it to give him 20 minutes here and there? Surely it would be better to wait till he's back fully match fit in the swing of it and I don't see any harm in him having 4 games in the NL where he would score 10 tries be a cult hero and get some good publicity and come back full of confidence.

Get him back for the Salford game,so he has a nice easy run out.
