I was treated to a lovely Indian tonight by the family at "The Cottage" and I must say it was probabaly the best Indian I have ever have, delicious food, not to mention the quality service, it's abit pricey but you pay for what you get and it is worth it IMO. Also it has just been fully refurbished (two weeks ago), very modern and slick.

5/5 for me. Fabulous food and brilliant service. Get down there!

Went out for a family meal @ the Swan in Winwick. Lovely food, good service & reasonably priced.

i really like my indian food....the other week i went to spice of india, which used to be the cuerdly cross (near the powerstation)

easily the best curry i have eaten in this country... service was a bit poor.. waiters were slow getting more drinks out.. but the food was out of this world.

It is reasonably sensational to dine at The Cottage. I noticed it had been refurbed a little recently aswell. As for the food and service, can't complain whatsoever. There were four of us when I last visited and we only spent just over a tonne and that was including bottle of wine and a few spirits and mixers.

Oh and before I forget, big mention to their Duck Spring rolls. Wow! Just remember the greatest blow job you ever received . . . . . . now double it!

Another hand up for the Rams Head.

I went to Greenfields Deli & Bistro in Thelwall last night. Thursday is steak night, two sirloin steaks, chips (proper homemade ones), mushroom, tomato and chips, deserts and a bottle of wine for £25. The steak was really tasty and cooked to perfection and the deserts were superb. I had strawberry cheesecake ice cream and it was really nice and Mrs Bob has American style pineapple pancakes that were even nicer.

I will be going again.



But are they nicer the than the duck meat rolls from China China.

I went there a few months ago. Food was really nice........service was absolutely abysmal.

from me, too, '74. When you order from there, you get what you ask for. I had a Lamb Vindaloo from there, first time I went....and boy, was it a vindaloo. Probably done to the same strength that the Royal Bombay(RIP) did it's ceylon dishes...nuclear strength.

Have you tried Cardommon (above where the old Fire Station used to be in Stockton Heath), '74? Better than the Cottage, but still in the same price bracket. Try the"STAFF CURRY", it's basically 2 lamb shanks (stop tittering at the back) in whatever strength sauce you want. FANTASTICHE.

For Chinese, I always used to like Kelly's (again in Stockton Heath), but I've not been for a few years.

Haven't tried Cardommon, but I will definitley. I had a garlic Bhuna from the Cottage, with onion bhajis as a starter. Best Indian I've ever had.

For takeaways (Indian), Tayef (Nr St Mary's Church, Borough Armsetc) ,gets my vote every time. Just make sure they get the order correct...they aren't the brightest in there.

i went there i got a hot-dog,pizza,2 chicken legs,and a plate of stew all on the same plate,its a bit of a free for all but worth a trip to pie land all the same.

ive been to cottage and would highly recomend it, as for indian takeawy, the british raj is miles better than tayef. for a change 'donnatelos' on orford lane is sensational for italian food, all though is a tad on the small side and gets very hot in there, but food is awesome

"Ask" in Town Centre is another I would reccomened. Brilliant Italian food!
