| Clearly struggling to come back from his broken ankle and a shadow of his former self.
Do you think TS would consider dropping him?

| without a doubt.
At prop I would put both wood and cooper ahead of him at the min (and of course morley and harrison).
I thought he was looking suspect before his injury to be honest... he was dropping alot of ball anyway.

| Said on another thread that i have been disappointed with him this season. Wasn't it smith that sold Carvell to Hull?

| I thought his best game since coming back from injury was on Saturday night, still got a way to go though I believe.
Don't think Smith will drop him.

| Here, here. He needs to be dropped (has to be said). We've just re-signed Cooper for the foreseeable future, yet he doesn't get a game, even though Carvell is well below the level expected of him.
Time for a change, we can't go into games at the crucial part of the season with a passenger. Unfortunately, at the moment, Carvell is a passenger.

Me too
Is a bit hard to get back to top level when you have been out for a few months with a broken leg.

| Slightly unfair to knock him, it takes about 3 months to get back to peak fitness but i'd would give him a bit more time and bring Coops in. Possibly have Gaz on the bench and not a starting prop

Clarke seems to playing alright. Regarding Carvell, i don't think he was nowhere as good as last season before his injury.

That's what i was thinking, Carvell wouldn't have as much impact as Woody

| We should at least try Cooper. I am sure he would play out of his skin given the oppurtunity.
Woody as an impact sub.
We are one of the best teams, if not the ebst team in super league we shouldn't fear dropping a dead weight

| haven't watched teh game back yet, but i thought carvell was pretty good in the second half on saterday, dog in his first stint but when he came back on he was workign hard, number of times he got on the gain side of the tackle, almost breaking through, especially bringing it away from our own 20.

| Much better on Saturday and I think you could visibly see his confidence improve. When he got injured my heart sank, but we have coped vey well indeed.
Last season thought it was great to see that he and Morley had a bit of a 'rivalry' on hits going. Reckon Mozza should have a bit of a word to pep him up.
Stood next to him in the shop the other day. The man is huge. And I really am not that small.

| He was awful at Wigan, was an improvement against Saints. If he's not fit, then 'drop' him, if he is fit, keep him in the side.

I have. He was excellent in the second half, but we can't afford to lose on Sunday.

I agree with that, but I think the reason TS keeps Woody on the bench is because, if he starts with Moz and him, our best two props will be on the pitch at the same time, so there will be longer periods of the game where they are both off the pitch - this way, we usually have at least one of them there!!!
I think the point about us signing someone like Westerman was highlighted on Saturday - one of our better props had to start at loose forward on Saturday - where he would of made a better impact coming on as a prop after 20mins or so, rather than Vinnie coming on for Gaz, and Harrison then moving to prop after 20 mins as loose!!
Just my opinion!!!
