Never left a Wire game early but i did throw my shirt in the river once when we were at the zoo, walking back to my car and watching us get destroyed by Saints i took it off and throw it in the river and shouted you won't get my fooing money again wire, next home game i was there again. 2000 i think i did that.

Damn you. was gonna make a joke about having to walk home because of the Tories cutting the buses. Anyway, I've never left a Wire game early. Closest I came was Widnes away 2004, the Jules O'Neil drop-goal-that-never-was game where they dicked us in the last 20 minutes. I was still going to matches with mother bear back then and she came charging up the steps in the last minute. "Come on, we're going, loads of rubbish.." etc. As a defiant, rebellous teenager, I stood (well, sat) my ground until after the hooter went, safe in the knowledge I could hold my head up high having never 'walked'.
