Since there is currently a topic running about rhys williams and kevin penny i wondered which of the two players fans would prefer to see take hicks' shirt number at the end of the season.

I don't think it's fair to judge on Williams yet, but, from what I've seen I'd take Penny.

I have voted for Kev Penny, I think he is getting a rough deal by the club. Nothing against Williams just not seen him play enough.

Penny scores tries that no other SL winger would be able to, just look on youtube if you want a reminder. As I said all I have seen of Williams ability is a run in against Salford. He may be be billiant just cant tell yet.

Longer term I see Riley as FB.

Having had a long discussion about this topic with my friends we decided that there is no reason to have to choose between the two.

Long term we thought the warrington back line would look something like this:

Next Season----2-3 Years
Hodgson--------Riley
Riley-----------Penny
Bridge----------Bridge
Atkins----------Atkins
King------------Williams

I think riley's future is at full back and will be the understudy to hodgson, unfortunately this means no place for mathers and when king hangs up his boots rhys evans can step in.
Allowing penny & williams to be the wingers long term.

Personally i see evans slotting in at centre, as it looks like his natural position and will replace king long term, but thats just my point of view.

still think that Penny can have a future with us, we need to use him like we did when he first came into the team. Williams has done well since he has come in so good luck to the lad. Big lad for a winger aswell!!

Williams recently clocked the fastest time in team training, I'm sure I saw that on here, his defence is superb and he has a brilliant attitude. He may not have Penny's flare or Raz-ma-taz but he is consitant and if he gets a few games under his belt he will be for me our starting winger. Wether that is next year or in a few years...

not seen alot of him but has awful hands apparently.

Not from what I've seen but only time well tell, the same with Penny.
