If we get beat by saints next week. Does anybody think we could slip back into our usual .. "After saints game rut"?

The way we responded to the Wigan result told me all I needed to know.

Seems fair enough that mate.. I wasnt too downbeat after the wigan game though the way we fought back was pretty awesome in that game.. Im talking a last minute defeat though to saint helens.. That would leave me feeling pretty deflated with a hint of "not Again"

Would leave ME feeling deflated but the team would hit back I hope.

I think Smith has got this team in a completely different mindset to any from years gone by. It's not always about result, performance yes. Against Wigan we performed but didn't get the result, Castleford you could argue vice versa. As long as we work hard, apply ourselves and perform, I don't think he'll get too worked up about the result.

I think what we've done post Wigan is what good teams do. It's all about 'How you react do defeat', we've reacted very positively.

Unless we perform on another level to what we've been doing recently, you won't need this thread.

The players' mental strength and confidence is far more adequate now so I can't see us going off the track should we lose to Saints. And if we win, well, who knows what that could lead to!..

Good point and to be honest i thought we may go through a bad time after losing to Wigan like we did but the players seem to have a mental toughness installed in them at last and Tony will see they return to winning ways after Saints... That's of course if we do lose.

I think you will take Saints to the cleaners next week, a big win against them a long time coming for you.

I'm in total agreement. All good teams lose games, its just a measure of how good the team is as to how they react to the defeat. Very few 'good' teams will lose more than one on the bounce when in form. The win against Hudds proved to me that we are now able to forget about the previous week and move on. All to often in the past a loss would have resulted in another and another.

I'm having a wager on the Saints game. Wire by 14 I'd say.

This is our year - keep the faith, its the same for the team - positive mental attitude. TS has certainly instilled that into them this year.

Maybe me, but haven't we got Bratfud next week, and Saints the week after ??
