Just want to see peoples thoughts on this.

I am going to suggest to the club that they start a wall of fame under each of the 3 home stands as a tribute to past players who have deceased. Nothing expensive, just a photograph, with name, dates of birth and death and dates played for Warrington underneath - something similar anyway.

I just though it was time that tribute was played to the players who have got the club to where we are and maybe bring these past players names to the attention of the younger fans who may never have heard of players such as Mike Gregory,Parry Gordon,Harry Bath, or god forbid Brian Bevan

Start with say between 12 and 24 and let the fans decide who should be on the wall and then add a couple to it every year.

They should be exactly the same under all 3 stands and maybe even start one under the away stand for players from opposition clubs both old and young - John Holmes,Adam Watene, Leon Walker,Roy Powell - a way of paying a tribute.

By using forums like this it would be relatively easy to have fans from all RL teams ( not just superleague ) to suggest a couple of players from their clubs who should be paid tribute to.

Obviously this idea needs tuning but good idea or not ???

Great idea......it could be done on a time line so that we get players from every era rather than starting at the beginning and working forwards. This means that they could start with a couple from each decade and leave room to add. This would also stretch the full length of the stand from day one.

Who would you include on it? Obviously people like Bev, Greg, Parry Gordon, Harry Bath. Also the likes of Bob Ryan & Derek Noona, but would you also include Ces Mountford? Not a Wire player but a legend of a coach...

Expanding it slightly - what about including people who are in the Hall of Fame under the stands in some way too? Shows that our great players don't have to be dead for us to encourage the younger generations to know about them...

I would hope that the fans would have a big say in it by way of a poll etc but also the club should have a say. Past coaches should certainly be included but thinking about it there should be a place for some of the past chairmen etc of the club as well.

For me it should be about people who gave great service to our club whomever they may be.

It is a difficult and very subjective one, in particular if you have to limit it to for example 24 selections, but i just feel it could be a very worthwhile exercise.

Members of the Squadbuilder committee have been working with the club historian Neil Dowson, Warrington Wolves Foundation and Warrington Library and Museum to develop a time line in all of the concourses since 2007. To achieve what is required will take a lot of work to ensure that this is developed in a proper manner. Time and money are the constraits at present but the idea is still on going. We presented some of the designs at a Supporters' Trust meeting in 2007 which quite a few of our members attended.

If anyone is available to devote time to help progress this project please pm me.
