Agreed, momentum didn't stop, the referee didn't call held, and the elbow was nowhere near the floor ? Come to think of it, why did Silverpud even go to the VR when he was stood a metre from the try ? |

| yes cleaely heard him say check the grounding because he didnt see it because post was in the way  but you win some you lose some, at least the effort was there, didnt here any one mention our injuries |

I thought it was a try. The ball carrying arm did not hit the floor and so wait for the ref to shout held. That never came so Higham was well within his right to go for the line. I was shocked when it was disallowed.

I suspect disallowing a try against us last week for a double movement was in the back of Benthams mind tonight. The RFL try not to let the referee ref the same team in consecutive games, perhaps they should have a similar policy on VRs too!

Do I have to get the rule book out for you all? It was a second movement and rightfully disallowed. A tackled player's ball carrying arm does not have to touch the ground for the tackle to be complete.

The point you all fail to understand is that the ball carrying arm does not have to touch the ground. Forward movement merely needs to cease.
Higham stopped movement and then placed the ball down.

its a clouded area is this..if this happened around the halfway line and higham had carried on,it would be a penalty to the opposition..so whats different here.. |
