Thanks - It is the first time I have interviewed Ben and my first impressions were that he is a genuine bloke and I think he is one of our most improved players this season - if he continues to improve he should be a international in a few years.
As a prop he has the best years ahead of him.

so on that basis then. if a player commits to Ireland, scotland or even Wales, then you would probably agree that the chance of the getting of playing a test match against the Aussies is pretty slim. It seems only English players then are the TRUE internationals . A bit harsh dont you think..

I don't think so. He played for them in the World Cup and got a shamrock tattood on his perked bottom, but I don't think that counts for much. Similar to Mr Brough, if there's a sniff of England/GB kicking about, I think anybody would change allegiance, for reasons as mentioned, to tes yourself against the best.

Good for Ben, seems like he has some principals too. I like the guy the more a hear and see of him.

Being able to change your allegiance imo makes a farce of it all. Personally I think once you made a choice you should stick with it. Bring back GB and it wouldn't be an issue.

He doesn't dismiss it in that article, more that he hasn't thought about it. I reckon, if asked, he would.

Seems he'll have to to be taken seriously as an international according to some,, something wrong with the system me thinks..
