Agreed, Wigan look at fixture list and plan their squads accordingly there will be games some fringe players will be earmarked to play in and so on!! It's almost like clubs only get their next fixture once they've played a game and a complete surprise when and where it be and not given a list of fixtures for the year before a ball has been passed!!

How they approach the game or consider the game is pretty irrelevant to us.

What can't be disputed surely is that they will be affected by playing what is likely to be a high intensity game 12,000 miles away, then having at least two days prep of their 6 day turnaround taken up with travel and jet lag?

If they are managing their squad over the two games surely that means they will have their big players playing the week before, and less so against us?

It by no means guarantees a result for us, and I'm in no way suggesting it will be an easy fixture, but to say it wont affect them cant be right surely?

Following the 3 months of dryer pitch of May June and July we're waiting for...it'll then be wet again!

Is it just me or does our attacking line still not have enough depth to it? Where are the ball receivers running from deep crossing behind dummy runners? We just shift it from side to side then someone tries to beat a defender on his own and goes down.

It's really basic stuff. There are no dummy runners running lines to cause doubt in the defence. It's as predictable as night follows day how our attack pans out. Trundling drives with no backing up as we never pass. Scoot from dummy half which looks dangerous but no-one backing up. Ball ships one edge on play 4. Back to the other edge on 5 (if we don't knock on/ forward pass), then a cross field kick into the dead ball area which sadly doesn't work any more without Briers' accuracy and Monaghans catching. Rinse and repeat.

Wilkin on the radio said that last week about us that we were far too easy to predict, even if we executed well, throughout 2017.
