Well the two club involved are after him a full two years before his deal end's, this just shows how good of a player he is, just trying to create a discussion fella, come on tho you can't disagree that he would be and excellent signing irrelevant of what year he sign's.

I'd take neither, Sinfield at 6 & Myler at 7 for 2010, according to you we'll have them both anyhow, that's what I'll roll with, leave Harrison at 13. A passer & a runner at halfback.

I suspect this is a case of his manager bringing the supposed "cashed up" English clubs into early contract discussions. Could well see Thurston coming over in his early 30s for a final pension topup, but not whilst at his peak.

I mentioned on the Saints board what a rise it's been for the guy because 4-5 years ago he was in the Bulldogs reserves and struggling to get a game.........a club over here would have got him for a pittance back then!

No thanks to Thurston. History has shown that no team has won the Super League Grand Final with an Aussie halfback. I'd rather we got Myler or someone like Robinson, Brough or Thorman.

And most importantly, he has proven this in SL and not the NRL.

Brough would maybe do a job for a couple of years but i would not like him for the long term. I had thought Thorman was a good player when looking at the points he racked up a Huds, but no one on the Hull FC forum seems to have a good word to say about him.

Also Robinson just looks plain average IMO

I'd much rather keep Monaghan than get Thorman or Robinson (the Monaghan that play Fev, not the one that played Hull)
