| Plenty of rumours flying about that come the change in certain FTA rights that Dicky Branston channel Virgin 1 will bid for some sports.

| Let Sky pay for the privellage of showing the Challenge Cup.
The sport gets more money and we don't have to have Ray French errr-ing and therrr-ing his way through matches, while John Indervale smirks his way through the Rah Rah results at half time.

| Petition signed!
I think that a certain amount of sport should be kept free to air. Especially international sport. When the England/GB team does well at something, the uptake of that sport amongst kids tends to go up. See RU in 2003 as an example. Anything which gets more kids into sport (any sport) has to be a good thing. I dont think that Rugby League has any particular right to be shown on free to air more than any other sport but as a RL fan I am more than happy to support this petition. Here's hoping that the challenge cup stays on the BBC (and gets better coverage) and the BBC continue to move in the right direction with showing internationals (despite this 4 nations poor performance).

| Before this week I was all for keeping the Challenge Cup on BBC and so ensuring the greatest game can be watched by Millions.
However, that said, the sport received little coverage recently on SPOTY and so feel it is in the interest of the sport to find a home where it can be properly cared for, as the BBC is not protecting its interest.
Not to say they haven't improved in past couple years but there is a long way to go.

| Like the BBC or not, it is still the only way to 'spread the gospel' of RL. People generally watch the BBC, and OK so it's only the Cup Final, or maybe the semis, but it is promoted nationally to those who would not usually take any notice of RL.
To claim that SKY should show all RL is very narrow minded, as it is only existing RL fans that would bother to watch.
Eddie Waring, for all his faults probably did more for the publicity of RL than any body else past or present.
