| So whats everyone's thoughts on the opening game of the season?
I really don't know what to expect from us against Hull. There were positives signs against Wigan (apart from the last 15 minutes). Hull have recruited really well for this season so its going to be a tough game.

| I do believe we have the better halves to steer us to a win. If we play the expansive style we played last week and defend as well as we did, bar the last ten minutes a think we might just pick up the two points. We have Carney, Jones and Masila on that left side which should be enough to keep Pritchard quiet. Try to beat them down the middle and wel'l loose, play expansively and i think we'll win. Salford by 4-6 points.

| First game of the season is always an unknown.
I think home advantage will be the factor here, but you never know.

| Can't see anything but a loss by 10-16 points in this one, Hull should just about be unbeatable at home this season.
One of my favourite players in Cranky Frank, massive coup him signing.

| People keep mentioning Pritchard, but he didn't even start the game last week he came off the bench. Taylor, Watts, Minichiello and Sika Manu were all fantastic too

Your halves are only as good when your forwards are on top
Fc look to have the stronger pack and hopefully will allow our halves to dictate the play similar to the Kr friendly, Pryce played in his dinner suite first half

| Hull FC 22 - 26 Salford
Robert Lui MOM
Attendance 11,500
Justin Carney match winning try.
This is a very difficult opener, as we all know Hull FC have an outstanding pack. Never in a million years are we going to beat them down the middle but if we can play that expansive game that we saw against Wigan, on a big Hull pitch, Robert Lui might be able to unlock their defence. Fitness may play a massive part in the final 20. Come on Salford! Should be a belting atmosphere, I'm going to be $ed off if they put us in that corner like last year. Behind the sticks please!

Sorry but the North stand will not be open. You'll be at the northern end of the East stand.

| Scott Taylor worries me more than frank the tank. I can see this being a high scoring game but I've been impressed with what ive seen from us thus far - Salford by 6, 22-28

| Really looking forward to this game.
Both clubs are coming from similar positions, a few years of underachieving and investing badly, but both seem to have gone the right way about their recruitment for 2016. The Sheens factor should really tell in 2016, I think you'll be right in the mix for the top 8.
Lot's of new players on show. Tuimavave, Pritchard, Manu, Washbrook, Fonua and Taylor for Hull (who all should play), Lui, Murdoch-Masila, Carney, Kopczak, Flanagan (who I expect are all playing?). Shame about Vidot.
Difficult to call the game. Our pack is obviously where our strength lies & your halves & backs look to have the edge. I'd make FC favourites with the home advantage but only just, 28-20 to FC.

I agree with you.
I think home advantage will tell on this one, although being the first game of the season, form, and 'on paper' ratings go out of the window. So could go either way.
Think it will be a good game regardless.
