| Sounds like Jack Buchanan from Wests is a done deal and Joel Monaghan is also close.
Apparently we're also in discussions with Keegan Hirst (Batley) about a possible move. He is dating Corries Antony Cotton, who obviously lives over this way so it wouldn't be a surprise if that deal is also completed.
Best one yet though, Warrington have offered us Daryl Clarke. Salford offered him £150k per season, but after speaking to Rangi who gave nothing but awful feedback about the place it sounds like he wont be moving here at least. I was told Warrington are over the cap and are looking to off-load Clarke, after a disappointing season. I assume he would have been our marquee signing.

| The most important signing I want to see is the signature on a letter from RLHQ that there is no further action following the Puletua matter and we start the season on 0 points.

MK was asked on twitter if,as a result of the Puletua court case were Salford under investigation by the RFL for salary cap offences and he replied No.

Go on then I'll bite.
I think that you have been in The Gilbert too long. We have recruited heavily but also offloaded, out are Bridge, Monaghan, Higham, Myler, Asotasi, O'Brien so our books might just be balanced.

I agree with you, sounds like a red herring to me.

| If Chase has given bad feedback maybe we should assess whether he was good value for his income.
Take a look and I think he may have been on £10k+ per match played.
Great player but was it a worthwhile exercise at that cost?

| Let's move on from Chase. He's out of the door now and that's all that matters.
Can't see any real truth in the Clark rumour - doubt they'd need to balance the books given what has already been outlined, and why would he entertain leaving for us when you'd have thought someone in Oz would take a chance on him?

But he does tend to the negative, I agree some of what he says is obviously inside knowledge, there are many people with insider info but so very few seem to take such joy in accentuating the negative when possible.

| Chase slag's off Salford Shocker ...
Chase last two years with Cas , they finished 13th & 12th
Cas last two seasons w/o Chase they ended up 4th & 5th with a trip to the smoke.
for all the talent he has- the money was obviously better spent on judicious signings & a clever coaching , as Darrell Powell has proved. and the refusal to accept him back to Wheldon rd , even more telling.
All i all the high value signings from this period have proved costly for no return on investment .

Moran paid well for the then Man of Steel to replace Monaghan M & Higham , but he had a dog of a season & Warrington found they had just as good an impact player in Brad Dwyer . Still can't see them offload Clarke , even if he is unsettled ,

Nothing for you to bite on. The coaching staff haven't been convinced by Clarke this season, particularly not in comparison for the fee and the salary they're paying him. I haven't seen Warrington's books to comment, again just passing on what I am told. Perhaps Smith see's that money being utilised elsewhere.

MR - I don't tend to be negative, but unfortunately in the last 12 months there hasn't exactly been many positives stories to pass on from within the club has there? Trust me, I don't take delight in hearing how our poorly the club is being handled.
As many have said before, hopefully Tim Sheens being here for 3 years will begin settling the ship.

| For the record, Clarke was given permission to speak to us and was offered good money, but he chose to stay where he was. That is straight from the horses mouth. (Not that I'm calling Clarke a horse).

The timing of Higham's departure probably wasn't planned and whilst I agree that Clark's season wasn't what was in the script (neither was the team's) his form later on was better and he seemed a lot happier towards the season end (probably couldn't come quick enough ha ha). There was some rumour of playing injured but Warrington were down to the bare bones.
You are bob on about Dwyer, his return particularly his early form and impact, was an unexpected bonus of the Higham 'mess'.

Very strange, Warrington has hardly been a settled environment with a lot of 'stinky' departures, but, in comparison to you guys? Shangri-La
