What happened last night to the P. A. ? Could hardly hear it, only picked up some of the scorers, did not hear any interchanges. Just about heard the team line ups being announced. felt also whoever was doing the announcing was not a Rugby fan/person

Different point,----- at half time i was feeling a bit dehydrated , after all the excitement of watching a really good Salford performance, so i went to buy a Bottle of water, they wanted £2.20 for a small bottle, could not believe it. I know it's been mentioned on here before about the prices but they really need to get real, this is a rugby ground.
Anyway the staff obliged me with a cup of water from the tap, for free

I agree the PA system needs to be louder in general, thought the same myself.

How does it work with Salford not owning the ground, who is it that sets the prices and keeps the profit ? Prices for alcoholic drinks are expensive at most grounds but that seems a bit steep for a bottle of water.

PA appeared to have technical problems last night or whoever was operating it did`nt have the instruction manual to hand.

There must be something in health and safety that the P A system must be able to be heard all round the ground at a certain level when the ground is full, therefore when the ground is only half full ie last night everyone should of been able to here every single word that was said.

I was in the south stand and i could more of what the hull fans were singing ( not that they were singing much ) lol than any thing that came over the P A system.

It needs to be sorted and fast. before there is a problem in the stadium.

Agreed. You'd think that in a modern stadium they would be able to get that right. This is aimed at the stadium company rather than the club

we have all called out for it to like the Willows. when the new ground's PA sounds like being at the Willows, whats the problem?

I used to decipher the sound coming out of the pa at the willows,can`t do that with the modern rubbish installed at Barton

I never understood a word at the Willows and stood near a "speaker": it reminded me of the PA system at Victoria in the 80's when every destination sounded as if it was in Ruritania.

Whilst queuing to get in (a queue! with a crowd that size!) the PA was audible through the speakers outside, and they announced that there was a fault with the system. That's why it was so quiet.

In general, I find PA systems too loud. Not everyone feels they need to be 'entertained' every second that they're in the stadium, and it would be nice to be able to talk at half time without having to shout.
