| It's an interesting mix.
Bradford , Leeds and Catalans away.
Huddersfield and Widnes at home, including the cup tie.
We've recently beaten Cas and Hull so we are in reasonable shape.
So,what will the Doctor regard as progress ?
PS. Please,no talk of it being a transitional period !!

| I'd be looking for a minimum of 3 wins from those 5, anymore and it will be a bonus.

| honestly I would expect a result Friday at Bradford, Leeds / Hudds dont hold much hope at all. Catalans you would hope and we need to be right mind set v Widnes on the day. Knowing Salford, probably 1 win if we are lucky.

| Friday's game is huge and for me it's a real marker or where we are at. We need to go there and do a good job on them, they're getting a few bodies back and actually have a forward pack this week so it will be more difficult than a few weeks ago, but there are no excuses whatsoever for not beating Bradford comfortably on Friday. We have our first choice 13 available, plus the addition Logan Tomkins. I will seriously start to fear for our top 8 aspirations if we get beat on Friday, even at this early stage.

| Think that beating Huddersfield is not beyond us at home, beat Bradford and beat them well and I'd expect a feel good factor to take us forward and remains for the good Friday game. If I'm honest for the Leeds trip on the Monday we'd be better of resting people like Morley, Griffin (if back for Bradford/Huddersfield) and select others as doubt many teams will match them at home and it's prudent to try and keep you best players fresh for the cup game the weekend after as despite what Nostradamus Clark says the cup remains the best option (if any) hope for silverware.

| Every game there is winnable with our team on paper of course it's not played on paper so we're obviously not going to win them all:
Bradford - Win
Huddersfield - Win
Leeds - Lose
Catalan - Lose
Widnes - Win

| I think the Bradford and Widnes are must wins and anything less than 2 wins from the next 5 would be alarming. I would also expect us to pick up at least one other win from Leeds (unlikely), Huddersfield (possible) and Catalans (probable).
If Harris can muster 3 wins from 5 and get us into the next round of the CC, I would be very happy.

| When I was a Kid there I watched a unbelievable gadet filled rescue Drama, where marionettes were manipulated and the bad guy had a baldy head .
the Tag line was :-
anything could happen in the next half-hour!
I think this pretty much applies to the Club & the next 5 Games ...
We've Just lost Brains & employed Parker ...
but we have employed Captain Scarlet.

| Think we saw tonight that if Tasi, Hock or HH can get at Brough on Good Friday there is a very good chance we can beat them.
Watched tonight's game and they look lost.

True generally, if you disrupt and stifle the opposition main playmaker its a benefit.
Hudd's 2 wins from 8 now , and well beaten 30-6 .
Teams like Huddersfield should not be losing to Hull by that amount, maybe they should get Brian Noble in...
Joking asside , looks like Hulls ploy to play last Thursday paid off for the SL game anyway.
This result will just make our next game more difficult as they will be even more keen to get back on track with a win .

| Brough is a fine player...When everything's going his way. When it's not, he's a liability. He constantly harasses the ref. His head goes down. He starts having goes at his own team mates. All this when things don't go well. All you need to do is stifle him and he will fall apart. Rarely have I seen him dig his heels in and pull himself and his team out of bad situations.

| Always been a fan of closing down the playmaker. Two players - one from each side of the line charging towards will always disrupt the attack and HH & Hock are perfect. Giants very much over rated and we normally play well against them so hopeful.

| We have been a bit of bogey team for the Giants over the past few years.
Huddersfield probably went as far as they could last year and fortune shone on them at times with very few injuries. They didn't really strengthen the team much over the winter to sustain their status, let alone kick on. Despite winning the league leaders shield last year I can't see them making the top 6 this year.

| Hopefully we won't have to worry him, he should get at least a one game for kicking out at, then punching Whiting.

| Deserves to be cited for his kick out at Whiting. A Ptulant and stupid thing to do, which has no place in our game.

It doesn't always work. I remember Andy Gregory in his prime would thrive when players were drawn to him because it created space elsewhere for him to exploit.

| I don't think Huddersfield have added any real quality to their squad from last year.
Jodie Broughton's obviously a good signing but is he any better then what they've already got?
They also signed Kaufusi and Bailey from London and Wood from Wakefield.
If you're looking to strengthen your top of the table team I think you need to add a bit more quality then players from the bottom of the league clubs.
**I'm not saying players from 'bottom of the league clubs' are crap. Just that there must be more quality at the top**

| we had 3 days rest after an emotional loss to st helens when we lost at hull fc... also missing the likes of cudjoe/ferres/faiumu
the signings we brought in last season arent the reason for us starting bad, we must just be pacing ourselves for the run in, and why not the way the set up is, nothing is won in April.
broughton is looking very good, kaufusi getting into his stride now and bailey trying to get his right position in the team.
grix may be missing which is no bad thing as we have a young lad connor who can come in.
faiumu gone home for a month family reasons..which is a big blow as he was our best prop!
ferres banned.
hoping to have cudjoe and patrick make a return though which will help.
having said all this our record is poor at salford and we are not playing well at the moment so i expect a salford win!

| We are just going through a rough patch. Annoyingly the Giants have never seemed to turn up against Salford. Thinking they are easy beats maybe? I don't know, it's no excuse if it's the case. With the squad Salford have now I think all the past form from these two clubs go out of the window.
Hopefully we'll improve a lot and have a good crack.
We've made some good signings. From the clubs believed to be the worst but if you look at Ferres who we signed from a poor Castleford side (that season) we turned him into a England World Cup player.
Long season yet.. And we have to hit the ground running at some point (hopefully). Could be a Good Friday for the Giants.
