| The doc has had massive abuse on twitter as well as on here for the way he's brought the headlines back to Salford again. Some fans hate him, some fans agree with what he says but disagree with they way he says/does things.
Getting to my point, I was at the open day yesterday at the stadium, whilst being shown around the press room, the chap leading the tour pointed out to us that "last year we salford struggled to get 15 people in the press room for match days, the number of people who have applied for the press room for the Wakefield game at the start of next season is over 70!" WOW!
Also he pointed out the Aussie team were based at the etihad during the World Cup, but for the days leading up to the final "The Aussies" (requested) to train a the AJ bell stadium to meet the Doc! Now I know some fans from other teams and some of our own fans don't like the way the doc goes about things, but if the doc went about promoting Salford any other way, would we have the "Aussies" requesting to meet the doc and train at our ground? Would we have had the media attention we've seen up to now??

| It seems the Dr is very popular in Oz with the whole Melbourne Cup/RL thing. I couldn't give a toss what other fans think of him. Regardless of how things go over the next few seasons he's given us all our team and Club back when it looked like we'd never see them again.
It's interesting to note that the Media and RL Fans thought he was a laughing stock when he came into the sport. He couldn't do anything according to them. Those detractors have slowly ebbed away and as time goes on he wins more of those people over. Whether people like it or not it's nice to see a RL Chairman rub shoulders with the likes of footballers and actors. Engage with the fans, enjoy the banter, cheer on the terraces with the hardcore, seduce the Australian media, and have RL Superstars lining-up to meet him.
In fact, I don't know any other Chairman who does half of those things.
He's a character, but he's no mug either. I think it's great that we're developing the only non-playing RL celebrity in the game.

I am hoping that by dint of his personality and assiduousness that the attendances he hopes for are achieved. (Starting on Sunday 16th February home to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats)
Nothing but respect from me for the way he has conducted himself from day one.
I think the attendances will grow - The Easter games against sides coached by players formerly coached by Brian Noble - Huddersfield and Leeds, will be significant.
I cannot think of any other multi-millionaire,or politician,or owner of a sports club, who leave their family at home to visit the areas he has,at this time of year.
He deserves success on his efforts thus far.
I think he'll get it.
* I do wish people wouldn't quote him as the consequences may not be in the interests of the club *

| I remember over 40 years ago when Brian Snape took over at Salford. he came up with new ideas and ruffled a few feathers, but he was, like the Dr. a breath of fresh air for Rugby League
It sometimes takes someone from outside see the problems and ills of things.
I hope the RfL etc listen to new thoughts and ideas

| I love the man and I honestly think he will turn out to be the best thing that has ever happened to Salford RLFC and one of the best things to happen to Super League.
You can understand opposition fans pessimism towards Dr Koukash, the whole situation is stuff of fairytales. A club which offered little to the competition, attracted poor crowds, had a poor team and was going nowhere with no sense of direction or purpose is days away from going bust. Then, as if from out of nowhere a rich investor comes along and announces he wishes to buy the club and turn it into the best in Super League attracting the best players in the world along the way. Attitudes were always going to be negative towards him, with many expecting Koukash to fail and/or get bored after months involved in the sport. Fortunately quite the contrary happened and Marwan Koukash has fell deep in love with the sport in general and more so in love with Salford RLFC and the city it’s self. Now not happy with just changing the fortunes of the Salford club, he wants to improve the competition in general and provide a much needed shake up and modernising after years of stagnation.
Unless you’ve been party to discussions with Marwan, it’s easy to rubbish his claims as pie in the sky and fruitless but having personally heard him talk various times I buy into everything he says. So far, he has delivered word for word on all his promises. We have the best team we’ve had in the last however many years, the best coach, the best conditioner, the best facilities, the whole attitude of the club and fans is far more positive than it has ever been in the 20 years I have supported the club and above all we actually are being run as a professional sports club for once.
When has anyone in Australia ever heard of Salford? Now, after Marwan’s venture down under for the Melbourne Cup we’re the talk of the town when it comes to anything Super League. As mentioned above, the fact that we struggle to get 15 journos in the ground for games last season and we’re already at 70 booked for the Wakefield game speaks volumes. As well as that, following the storm he created during the Melbourne Cup the Australian RL team requested to train at our stadium just to meet the man. Speaks volumes.
When he says Salford Red Devils will be the biggest team in the competition in 2016 I believe him, because what he has achieved in less than 12 months has astounded me. Imagine what he can do with 3 years? The best thing about it all too is you can see he is enjoying it. The genuine love for the club and sport as a whole shines through whenever he talks.

| At the rate MK could be the guy to broker peace between the Arabs and Israelis!
Truly amazing what he is doing. As you say the club now has a 500% higher profile in just 10 months!!

| Spoke with Dr. Koukash at the Open Day last Sunday, and I asked him about the omission of any reference to "Salford" in the re-designed Club badge/logo.
He acknowledged that this had been overlooked, and would be made right in 2015, so fair play to him if this does indeed happen.

Koukash named as one of the five personalities of the year in this year's Rugby League Yearbook (Gillette are no longer involved by the looks of it).
Even the most anti-Koukash person couldn't possibly argue against this.

| The Good Dr. K. has certainly made a massive impact in his short time in Rugby League.
I'd hazard a guess that he's the most talked about personality in Rugby League this year. This is by us at Salford and every other set of fans. Long may it continue.
Well done to our saviour.
Just noticed that in his honour he has his own personalised smileys
