| I sent the email of the things I suggested on here a few days ago so obviously at long last things we say or ask that are realistic are at least being listened too.
It's like being a kid again waiting for Christmas.

| Excellent what? Another round of empty promises more like!
The South Stand will NEVER be the Shed, the 'shared stadium' still sticks in the craw, the pricing policy is too complex and expensive.
There are many supporters who have been completely disenfranchised with the events of the last two years and these vacuous statements show no sign of luring them back.
..............and yes, I am one of those disillusioned fans of yesteryear, but typical of many who no longer attend and therefore a yardstick of a level of inclination to return. NOT EVEN CLOSE!

| ...and the most negative post of the year award goes to Rooted Red. How about you give our new CEO Dave Matthews a chance, before playing the old 'empty promises' card.
If you're disillusioned with how things currently are then god help you, cos we haven't had it this good since, well, forever.

| The statement does, as you might expect, lack some substance and you do wonder how seriously the club has taken the fans' feedback. There's still a sense that some decisions are set in stone and will remain so despite public opinion.
Nonetheless, as has already been pointed out, things are still infinitely better than they have been previously.

| The Club can't win !
It clearly is listening to the fans, the article reflects that.
It can't possibly achieve what all the fans want, because that spans from returning to the Willows, all the way through to giving season tickets on a top up basis.
What I expect to see is a real improvement in the overall match day experience and season tickets priced sensibly so that those who would've handed over their hard earned cash to prevent the Club being wound up ,will now do the same to ensure it goes forward on a firm financial footing

| Reading the points raised by the fans & the clubs response. it's positive that they are at least making the effort.
Soon people will realise , we can't recreate the Willows - Shed,
THey can't rip up east stand seats , most obviously beacuse we're only renting and the Sale fans whose season passes are in the East Stand , may have somthing to say against that!...
Pricing - transport etc - game day look like they welcome the comments and something may come of it.
lets give them time eh ?

| I know a few people have mentioned the re-introduction of junior reds. I hope this is covered in the costing of season tickets for 2014. Credit to the club for the updates with the promise of more announcements to come.

| To be fair, a lot of what is being asked (ripping up the seats, giving away tickets) is entirely unrealistic and it amazes me that fans still raise the same questions. However, some of the other questions about scheduling of matches and the overall match day management were IMO relevant questions. It'll be interesting to see how the club reacts.

| Quote In order to make Salford a giant again simply move away from that stadium rebuild the willows get Nike or Adidas on board to inject massive amounts of sponsorship and money and reduce ticket prices to encourage people (local people) to come and watch the greatest sport on earth '"
This was the final fan response on the Facebook page. I love the unintentionally ironic use of the word "simply."
I'm surprised nobody at the club has pursued this strategy.

I do wonder if I'll wake up one day and the Doc will have had enough of the utter tripe some sections of the RL community are throwing at him, worryingly too some of the negativity from some of our own fans is just incredible.
The man saved the club from extinction, is buying us quality players and trying to secure the stadium for the club to secure a lengthy legacy so for Gods sake trust him or walk away with the negativity,

| I do take issue with people who dismiss the notion of standing in the east stand as pie in the sky.
Would it really be a flight of fancy to swap this:

| It makes a refreshing change for the club to not only listen to the fans, but also to show that they are acting on it.
There are obviously lots of issues that need to be resolved and I don't think we can expect these things to be rectified overnight.

The biggest issue you'd have, other than the cost of changing (and judging by the absence of finishing touches at the stadium it's clear that they're not keen on spending cash), is the fact that those 'seats' aren't the same as the ones currently present (no backrest etc). The fact that Sale have already sold season tickets (some on three year deals) for that stand does make it a non-starter I'd guess (certainly within that three year timeframe).
Perhaps if the Doc somehow manages to purchase the stadium you might have half a chance but I think it's a long shot.

| I think there are more important things to fix before the seating/standing debate becomes the number one topic for change.

| As I don't use Twitter and Facebook I wasn't able to respond but I do hope the youngsters and their families are targetted.
As it may prove the club is adept at 'pinching' things from Castleford I quite like this idea

| I might be wrong, but I'm sure I've heard of some stadiums in Germany having just normal seating areas, but where standing is expected - maybe 12 people for every 10 seats. Can see a health and safety issue if they had it over here though, the lock-away seats in the picture above would be the best.
