| Listening to the game on the Beeb and one quote caught my attention in that over the next two weeks there will be some big announcements. This isn't the comic so I tend to take what they said more as factual.
For the game sounds like Gaskell had a blinder and Owen adds something when he is on the field.

| Absoletely pathetic!!! where the hell are all the supposed Salford fans? There are bugger all there as usual and no one starts a match thread.Myself and a few solly fans went on the hull site to get any up dates! Get a grip and stop being opinoiniated paper readers!
Disgraceful, for those who live to far away, we should be enjoying listening to the youngsters putting up another stearling performance. And those of you who live nearby but couldn't make it, you have to do better because, this place is like a grave yard!

When your stood at last weeks home game and a guy was bragging that he has been banned from going to football games for fighting but he can still get away with it at rugby hardly makes you want to travel. Too many loons and yarhoos I'm afraid.

| well move, don't stand near him. Your a prime example of an armchair/paper fan. You come on her and post your thoughts, which to be fair are pretty bob on, but you shy away from matches or online discussion during the matcheSorry but it annoys how people criticise the club and how they promote matches then nothing get done on here. Surely if this is where most Salford fans port and discuss thign we should have a match thread every game. I will take it on myself to start one very match for the last two games but we have to be more proactive instead of reactive, if we aspire to be the club we want to be the fan hardcore fans have to step up!

I'll bite where as I possibly shouldn't.
Last season I helped to raise a considerable amount of money for the foundation, donated items that raised very good amounts for the auction when the club was in danger (hell I paid not far off £100 for three cupcakes at the Swinton game just to help out), I have been a season ticket holder for most of my 42 years and yet my support is called into question.
My deciding not to travel to away games is dictated by many factors, I don't drive any longer due to illness (I have epilepsy), I can't be d sitting on coaches for long periods of time and certainly don't trust trains to get me where I need to be on time. My not really posting when games are on is because I'm listening to the game, I'm a total and utter techno dullard so if I can listen (and suss out how to do so) on line then any dribbling simpleton can too.
As for moving where I stand it was a one off I stood there for a different perspective, OK the noise might have been better but in the main the experience was not as conducive to enjoyment (if I was a visitor to a game a fool who was watched by stewards because of previous and a fully grown man bragging about fighting at away games would hardly make me want to re attend either home or away) or enticing new fans.
I do though applaud an in game text update and think that the club could do worse than offer a fan maybe free travel and tickets to away games in exchange for them providing such a service. Occasionally I have been out and about on Sundays when away games are taking place and score updates on the BBC online service are sporadic so speak with experience that a better update service would be well appreciated.

| Stanley, you had a beer pal because this is embarrassing. Most people will either be at the game, prior engaged hence why they're not at the game, listening on the radio or watching the live Super League game. Not sat talking to themselves on an internet forum.
Anyway, well done to our boys who were superb tonight. We were extremely unlucky not come away with the two points. Our defence was excellent and the Brian Noble affect is more than showing through. Even more positive about 2014 after that.

Have to agree I feel you were unlucky, looked dangerous when running forward. Obviously pleased we managed to nick it at the death though.

No worries, beer and internet forums don't mix
I did warn the Hull fans it wouldn't be an easy game for them. We're not as bad a team as our league position and recent results show. Just too much inexperience has let us down at times.
Quote ="John Gilbert Reds wrote on the Hull forum"We've played our last two games (vs Huddersfield and Leeds) with 10 our of U20's due to injuries and suspensions. They looked much better together after the Huddersfield game vs Leeds on Friday night with Brian McDermott being the first to admit the 26 point decefit flattered the Rhinos. Whilst I'm not suggesting we're going to come to the KC and turn you over, I would expect us to put up a good fight and make a game of it. It will be the majority of young lads 3rd Super League game, so they'll know what to expect.'"

| You kicked and defended very well and could easily have taken the points. It was actually Hull's defence that won it for us as you had shed loads of possession but only got over twice. Sneyd must be one of the best field kickers in the league at the moment.

Certainly the best team in the first half, but hull where very dominate in the 2nd, but your defence kept us out.

| Think you guys have a lot to be positive about, your team looks far more organised and fitter than when I have seen them earlier in the season. The players you have signed should at least put you in contention for the 8th playoff spot next year, and you can build from there. I have always rated Noble as a coach.

| Here is a team that was dead at the start of the season. No pre season, all top players left. No hope whatsoever. Dr Koukash, Brian Noble and every single player who has turned out for Salford City Reds this deserves every accolade going.
Next year WILL be immense. As an exiled Salford supporter for the best part of 50 years, I can't wait. Bring it on. I'm getting ready to return for next year's Grand Final. To those supporters who are able to support the team week in week out, just do it. Get down there and support the team and the club.

| Excellent performance from us, I'd go as far as saying the best so far this season. Our kicking game was sensational and I don't rememebr us making too many errors. We maybe should have scored a few more tries with the amount of possesion we had, but credit to Hull they defended well.
Thought Evalds was very very good again, looked safe under the high ball and returned the ball very effectivly with his elusive style of running. Gaskell played really well going forward and kicked a monster 40/20 in the first half. Owen looked dangerous around the ruck and nearly maged to burrow his way over a couple of time, if he had a bit more weight he may well of got over. McGoldrick even had a decent game and Danny Williams finish for his try in the corner was out of the top draw.
Very very pleased with what I saw on Friday, but also gutted for the lads more than anything that we didn't come away with the win, their effort alone deserved more.

| Well summed up Ave it. I left the KC gutted, after a performance by the team that was simply fantastic. Media all stating Hulls off day etc and not reporting the fact that Salfords young side simply didnt let them settle into the game or play as they wished, and Salford DID deserve the victory.
Our 6,7 and 9 Sneyd, Owen, Fages were all exceptional, along with our other academy stars J Walne and Evalds.
100% effort for 80 mins by the whole side, well done lads.

| Just watched the highlights. Hull's last try was a mile forward. That's not to say they wouldn't have scored anyway but it must be gutting to see all your effort amount to nothing on a decision.

Not the first time a game between us has been won off a forward pass at that ground. We got away with one a lot worse than that when we knocked them out of the Challenge Cup a few years ago!
