For me a double act (has been tried before in football)will not work,but there may be exceptions.

Are the club concentrating on those not employed in rugby league,or will they do as they did with Morley and Tomkins
and make an approach for those under contract ?

I think that two guys, who already get along, with the pedigree that they both have are beyond the vanity of titles. Just think of what they both could bring to the table? The Dr wants to hit the ground running, and is happy to do things his way, getting them both could maybe kick-start the way coaching is defined. I can't really see if it was viable why you wouldn't give it a go.

it's been a distinct possibility ever since both names were on the shortlist , though I cannot see one being happy playing second fiddle to the other.
still think Head Coach - Director of rugby. would be the more plausible due to my previous comments on Lowe.

As for Coaching double acts - Clough -Taylor has to be the exception

for Rugby the nearest I can think of was Stuart Raper - John Kear at Wigan ?

Like middleman says, presumably it'll be Head Coach (Smith) and Director of Football (Noble) if such a deal were struck. Can't imagine we'd have some joint head coach situation.

I can't see it working but I hope I'm proved wrong.
