| Has announced it today. Cracking career, I know he didn't leave us on the best of terms but other than 2007 he was outstanding for us. Wish him all the best for the future. Hopefully will go out with a CC winners medal (I can't support Leeds in anything the do!)

| He was a good player for Salford & whatever the rights & wrong when he left Salford, he made the right move for him, he could bow out at Wembley with a challenge cup winners medal. Well done Mr Coley!

| I will never forgive him. His performance against Hull KR the season that we were relegated and he left was a disgrace.
I'm not one to bad mouth ex players (I often watch Robinson, Myler, etc to see how they are doing) but in my eyes the way Coley acted during his last season soured all the good work he had done before.

We are all entitled to our opinion, but here is a player who gave us some good years at Salford as a player, put his body on the line week by week, who then went on to better himself & proved it was the right decision to go and play for a top team when he had the opportunity, Coley was no different to Myler, at least with Andy Coley, he gave Salford some good years, I cannot say the same about Myler, although I am not having a particular go at Myler, just don't know how you differentiate between coley & myler in your argument?

The difference for me is that we poached Myler from Widnes and he was not with us for long. In my opinion he did not owe Salford anything.
Coley on the other hand had been with Salford for years and they stuck by him and rehabilitated him when he was injured for a whole season. He would not have had the chance to play for Wigan without Salford.
During his last season rather than going out with a bang he did not care one bit (unless he was playing Leeds or Wigan for obvious reasons). Against KR (as good as the relegation decider) amoung other things he cost us a try with a lazy attempt at grounding the ball then immediately got sin binned for time wasting and laughed as he walked off. That summed up his season for me.
I can see why people think fondly of him but I am not one of them.

I think you'll find he stuck by Salford when we got relegated back in the early 2000's and took a paycut for his trouble so i think it's all swings and roundabout's.
i am as others have said, thankful in most part for the effort he did put in over the many years at Salford, not too impressed by the way he left but hats off to him. he worked his way up and good luck to him in the future.
And i thank him for that tackle on Wayne Price up at Cas. will always remember that one..

Wasn't that when he was injured? So i'm pretty sure he didn't have much choice.
I'm not trying to turn anyone against him if it looks that way. I can fully understand why fans wish him well.

| I will admit i cant fully remember if he was injured or not but i am pretty sure he played most of the 2004 season when we kept stuffing Leigh at every possible chance we got too

Yep, still think he should have stolen the ball for a try though

Erm I do believe you lot poached him from Swinton so maybe he owed salford nothing.A good player for whichever club he played and got his rewards on Saturday.

| All the best andy coley - can't understand people who critise him as player for us he all ways gave is all on pitch for us. Who can blame him for moving to give him the chance to win medals. I would have moved on if it ment more chance of winning something. All best for future.
