No but I was just thinking ahead - having 2 ex team mates - in a different League to most players in SL - maybe we might consider DH/LP as a future situation. Much to learn from them both.

Interesting shout. Hmm? I'm pretty sure they'll offer much to the team, especially in attack, without neccesarily taking on an official coaching role as such. Although it's perhaps an idea for the future.
However, it'd undoubtedly be a good idea for all concerned departments at the club to make them both full family members. Especially LP who has spent such a long time at the Bulldogs that it's going to be hard for him to fully commit to a new club. The more at home he and Dan feel at the club, the better they'll perform me thinks.

I mentioned this at the last forever reds meeting to the players present, they seem to think they will bring in new ideas that they will share.

Actually, that raises a problem. There'll be high expectations of Patten from many knee-jerkers. (My new name for most Salford fans) When it's cold and wet in February and March, Patten won't offer much in attack. His free running and passing skills will be restricted. Perhaps it's wise to wait until it gets warmer before we judge the general... Of course, by this point, many reds will be on Patten's back and doing their best to destroy his confidence. How many games before we hear "what a wast o' money" ringing around the shed? Grrrrr...

Not quite. Premier Sports showed 6 games this weekend and of what I saw, the NZ v Brisbane and Canberra v NQ games were nothing special at all. Although anyone who hasn't seen the Roosters v Manly game should watch the NRL full time show on Sky this week because Roosters scored a stunning try.

I disagree with the NZ v Brisbane game. Thought it was mediocre for the NRL but better than anything here. The Canberra v NQ game was somewhat of a mismatch. Canberra are on fire whilst NQ, not so! Still enjoyed watching Canberra gradually waste away their opposition. Very disciplined and clinical.
