| Hi guys,
Wondering if you can help me. I'm going to Old Trafford on Saturday and need to get to West Didsbury after. I'm not driving so I'll be relying on a bus or train service if there is one? I've been told there should be a bus that does it. But I have no idea where abouts from Old trafford that may be.. Could anyone shed any light on it for me?!
Or if there is a quicker way to do it, that would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks

| Can't do a link, but have had a look at First Bus timetable for you...
It seems like you have a 5 mins walk from the ground to the Trafford Bar/Seymour Grove Bus Stop, where you can catch the number 84 @8.22 p.m. to Chorlton terminus on Barlow Moor Road, then change onto the number 23A @ 8.36 pm.....allowing for traffic congestion etc (but they do seem to run quite regularly)
Best to have a look on First Bus Manchester website yourself I suppose.
In any event, Seymour Grove is easy to find from OT, and a quick look at a map of the area will point you in the right direction.
If you fancy jumping in a cab, it's around 4-5 miles max.

| Dont get a taxi near or outside the ground, they will rip you off.
Best bet is to wait for the crowds to die down and then order one from a pub.
Trafford Bar has a pub there with the same name which is OK to go into after or there is the Trafford Hall Hotel which is also close to this.
Both are located at the back of the White City retail park which you can not miss from Trafford Road.
Taxi should cost a max of £8.00 if they ask for more tell them to pi$$ off

I'd personally walk from OT to Stretford Arndale/Tram stop and jump on the 22 bus. It's about a 15/20 minute walk down Chester Road and, IIRC, it'll take you straight into Didsbury. You should miss the majority of the traffic from there as well. Bus runs at quarter past and quarter to the hour. Saves messing about going into town and out.

Yes thats the way I would go too. On a normal day you would catch the 255/256 to the Stretford Arndale but with the traffic after the game it will probably be quicker walking to there. Then get the 22 or 23a.

You can also get to Stockport if you get off the M6 and head along the M56.
