| Personally i think that charging to park would be a big mistake in the first years you are trying to get people to the ground. Especially in this climate of everyone being a bit on the skint side.
Though if they do charge they should offer a prepaid discount scheme or something like that for the season ticket holders, i wouldn't be too aggrieved if it was round the couple of quid per game mark all paid at start of season.

| Already spending money on petrol from Macclesfield so an extra £4 is out of the question.
I’ll be parking and walking from somewhere off Liverpool Road, and im guessing after a couple of home games so will everyone else. Loads of side streets so parking shouldn’t be a problem and no more than a 5 min walk.

I think your post just about hits the nail on the head. The only ground I've had to pay to park at has been Warrington and this year I remedied that and have found a spot no more than a 5 min walk, this is exactly what will happen at Barton where all will descend on Patricroft.

1.6 miles and 31 minutes, though that will depend on what kind of access is available to the stadium from the existing Langland Drive.

| The road goes straight past you need to walk along the canal by going through a gate but its easy no more than 200m on foot the bridge will join that road I think

Like nobody leaves there cars on streets all over Salford. The point is about paying 4 or whatever quid extra on your match day experience ! why suddenly will cars be vandalised ?

| Had a work related visit to Langland Drive today, the big gate at the end is locked . To access the road you can see from Barton Bridge running behind the stadium is via a small gate onto the unfenced and un paved canal bank and then through a narrow opening back onto the road.
Your then greeted by a Manchester Ship Canal Company No Trespassing Sign.
I have no idea wether that sign is still relevant considring the public footpaths that crossed the stadium site have been re - routed.
Maybe a nice walk in the summer months but a February / March evening hike dos`nt look good.
