As Nobby would put it, it's a tick in the W column for you. It's been confirmed on GMR this morning. They're reporting an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £100,000.
If Adam Pearson has a Twitter account, he might want to consider closing it down.

| Oh, and by the way, more Salford related transfer news. A thread about the national day of mourning just declared in Castleford is probably not the right place to put it, but Darrell Goulding has gone to Hull KR.

| Excellent piece of business from Kouksah - why let him go to Cas (for nothing) just because they love him so very much and their fans said so?
I honestly think 100k is a ridiculous price for a player who has played half a decent season, I think this could turn out to be another flop for Hull FC and a very good bit of business for us.
Oh and I’m so glad he’s not ended up at Cas, really really glad in fact. An awful set of fans who I couldn’t think any less of, Saturday just emphasised that.

I have a similar train of thought.
It's big money on a guy that is far from the finished article. It could go either way for him, but he's just upped the pressure stakes on himself. He'll be under scrutiny from day one and the Hull fans are less forgiving of their HB's than Salford and Cas. The fact that he (Or Blease) went a bit turncoat means that I'm glad he's on his way, especially seeing as there's a few players ahead of him in the pecking order. Doubly glad that he didn't go to Cas due to the high amounts of gobby idiots over the last few months. Feel for the genuine Cas fans, but the lad has used them as a shop window.

Don't know what you mean
By the looks of it Leon Pryce will get most of the flack if it goes Fubar.
Thing is he's 22 on a 4 year deal, from what I've been told he's on a good contract but by no means top dollar which is what we'd of paid for an unproven SL player from the NRL. Which we all know NRL success doesn't always equate to SL success.
Personally I think it's a good bit of business for both parties.

Yeah I agree.
Everyone's a winner here. Except Cas but they don't count.
Hopefully the Hull fans wont bang on the pressure too much as he still has plenty to learn. All this talk from Cas fans about 'silly money' this and that, well it's only silly money if you haven't got it. Sneyd gets a good long deal on good coin, hopefully Hull get a HB that performs, and Salford get a fee.
Saw this on Twitter and couldn't help but chuckle...

| Crazy money when you consider Rangi cost very little more. Are they having a national day of mourning over in the ar$e end of Wakefield today? I'm sure all Hull FC fans would like to thank Castleford for their #FreeMarcSneyd campaign.
In all seriousness, excellent business from Salford. Only Cas were interested in taking him on-loan last season, less than 6 months into the season and we've just sold him for £100k. He's got a fantastic boot which will score you many points and win you games, but so has Jamie Foster. I hope the kid develops into a top talent, unfortunatly he just wont be better than anything we are now able to afford/attract.
Considering we dont produce much top talent, we now have Ratchford, Turner and Sneyd at other 'top' clubs. When you throw in Fages, Evalds and Walne brothers too we're not doing bad.

| In four years time when Marc's contract ends, he may well be the finished article and return to us, on a bigger contract, when we need to replace Dobson, Chase. We let Hull polish him up for us.
Unless of course we are going to sign an exciting young young half back in the direction of Leigh

Let's look at the facts:
1. Sneyd requested a transfer.
2. He had 12 months left on his contract.
3. Salford already have two HB's ahead of him for the 2015 Squad.
4. Why have a player that wants away in your squad?
Seems to me that £100k is extremely good business from Salford's perspective, and if he comes good for Hull, good business for them too. Please refrain from assaulting your keyboard before thinking it through in future.

A £100k for a kid with 12 months left on his contract isnt good business? Hull have had their pants down. The only way this will turn out to be good business for FC is for Sneyd to go on and have 5 or 6 excellent seasons. With your recent history and success in big money signings I just cant see it.
Hopefully he does better than Daniel Holdsworth.

Come on you know how the games played, "I want to keep this player" = more money
As its been said our chairman is a very astute business man.
For what its worth I am happy the Cas fans got what the wanted and the #FreeMarcSnayed campaign worked.
I am also glad they got what they deserved and Marc when to a club that offered a fee and tbf have acted in dignity (unlike the other lot) regarding this process

| Irrespective of how much our owner is worth, 100k represents a good piece of business for Salford.
I'm not sure of your logic here 1865. The wealth of Marwan Koukash doesn't determine the market value of Super League's best players, especially if other clubs aren't in such a healthy financial position.

He did yes. Behind Chase and Dobson and even possibly Fages. As for chances, well he did have plenty in the couple of seasons he played and he played pretty well in a poor side. I guess the reason why he extended his contract last year was because of those 'lack of chances'?
It's fine that you don't like MK. It's fine if you don't like Salford. You're better off just saying that rather than inventing poorly thought out digs and dressing them up as a valid point.

I'm saying that Koukash would rather have kept him than sold him for his market value, just as other clubs will put premiums on fees when Salford come knocking for a contracted player, you don't need a fee for re-investment, do you?

Calling people deluded.
Even though a few have pointed out with facts why it wasn't a deluded thing to sell Sneyd. Which you've ignored in favour of responses like the one above. It's fine that you've got your point of view. Believing it and it actually being true are two separate things.

| The Doc saw Hull FC coming- 100k is way above the transfer fee for a much more seasoned player than Sneyd with a year left. Certainly Dobson and Chase and possibly Fages in front of him. The Doc has been given a massive payout for a player that would have warmed the bench at most for most of next season. FC have been had even if Sneyd turns into the full article. Chase was England half back, former MOS and a proven match winner. Sneyd could in time match that but hes had half a good season - he could equally just turn into the next Greg Eden.

| as a tigers fan who has been consistently embarrassed by dim fans of my club all season, this deal really has worked out for both clubs IMO. Marc didn't seem keen to stay at Cas, he was keen for regular rugby, and hull finally have their kicking game sorted. on the other hand, Salford have pulled off a blinder offloading an unhappy, untested player for that amount of money. both chairmen must be very happy bunnies.
