If true, I've been made to look very silly. Albeit things could have changed since I last spoke to him. For example we could have signed a specialist hooker.

Sneyd is not a hooker! He is a very good scrum half. I imagine there will be some negotiating yet though from the Dr and sneyd and agent.

Disappointing but not surprising. He's achieved more in half a season at Cas than the extortionate time waiting for a chance at Salford. Looks like another year as a squad player didn't appeal. Can't blame him really.

Fwiw. If the accept isn't granted, it will go to an RFL tribunal which Marc will win as long as his contract is paid off. That'll be a lot less than £100k.

Here's a thought. What if there isn't a transfer fee? What if, say, it's a player swap instead? There's an interesting little time line here:

- It's reported that logan Tomkins will return to Wigan at the end of this season
- Salford suddenly, out of nowhere, express an interest in Daryl Clark

Are we likely to see a transfer bid for Sneyd from Cas? For some reason people seem to think Salford should just cave in and let him go for free. It will be interesting to see how much Cas value him at.

Would prefer him too go anywhere but Castleford, I personally think he will go to a big club and have a genuine crack at becoming the future England/GB scrum half.

Bit underhand if he has been promising one thing to the club then throwing this in.

Rather than any transfer fee I'd be much happier to see some good young British talent come to the club from say a Wigan, Leeds or Saints.

I'm not surprised Marwan is upset, He's spent the last month or two telling everyone how much Marc wants to stay and that he's going nowhere. I'm sure the Warrington's, Wigan's and Rhino's of this world will be willing to offer an amount that will change the good Doctors mind.

He will be absolutely fuming like any boss would if a prize asset wanted to jump ship just when things started looking like they were falling into place.

You can understand that now Marc has shown he has the ability to perform and mix it at the top level that he wants away. Why should he show loyalty to a team that we willing to loan him out to what was thought to be a relegation dog fight. I'm sure Marwan will learn from these mistakes and will think twice when sanctioning such a loan in future.

If Sneyd has an agenda it should be with Noble it was him that didn`t fancy him , the club has moved on , hopefully still with marc , Walsh going back to oz has emerged again so if saints come in for him , i wouldn`t mind a straight swap for walmsley .

A) Walsh (at this moment in time) isn't going home next year. It's a recurring rumour similar to what we had with Jamie Lyon.

B) walmsley signed a 5 year deal at the start of the season, Sneyd has 1 year left on his contract. I've seen a few times Salford fans suggest with cas fans you do a swap for Clark, also on a 5 year contract. Sneyd has a significantly lower value than either because of this,

Let him go but at the right price no point in having unhappy players at the club, we're in desperate need of a number 9 as tomkins is going back to wigan and nowadays you need speed round the ruck!

It probably indicates that his agent thought he could replace Green at Wigan.

Maybe his agent doesn't enjoy him being at Castleford.

Saints and Warrington may be interested.

A bit of a guts-kicker for those like Alan Hunte who have assisted in his development.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest and we have no one too blame but ourselves. Why would he want too come back here and be played out of position when the likes of Wigan and Wire would probably play him in his preferred position regularly.

We (Hull FC) will take him and I am sure our chairman will be prepared to pay a fee for him, we put in a massive offer for Dobson (which you beat), so we have the salary cap for a halfback.

Unfortunately a think a few others (and more successful clubs) will also be in the running.

Reading the dr latest tweet I reckon he will let him leave for a fair fee which is only right that you get something for him.
