Not entirely convinced. There is a definitely glossing over of the eyes as he runs up to him. I wouldn't have been wanting to get him off a ban if they had made the final. There was intent there, but plenty of regret too when he realised what he'd done. Wigan haven't really gone for the kickers all season, but they did two tonight that were clear bans, Isa's will also get one if they're being consistent.

Bateman only gets 3 matches from the disciplinary for knocking out Sezer and deprived the player from making a grand final. And for the RFL to add insult to actual injury allow Bateman to go into the England Knights squad to chalk off his match bans.
