| Genuine question here. After watching Leeds get totally owned by a pretty average HKR side, at what stage will Hetherington and his gang decide on no relegation this year?
Leeds have 2 more games v London, one of which is at Magic and looking at both teams run of fixtures coming up, I can genuinely see Leeds being 6 points adrift of the Cockneys by the time they visit the wedding venue in September......at present, it's looking like a two horse race for last spot, but will the SL chairmen even contemplate the loss of the biggest supported club in the country going down?
What odds will you get on a 14 team Licensed SL returning for 2020 with another "early" TV deal trumpeted as the reason?

| Don't start Jean off again with his 14 SL dream line up of Catalan, Toulouse, Wigan, St Helens, Leeds, Castleford, London, Toronto, New York, Moscow, Ulan Bator and Alpha Centauri.

| It needs to be 16 and I'd say there is teams now available to sustain it, we could then do away with the third game an just play home and away, still not happy with the thoughts of a Canadian team in the league

Don't be ridiculous...
Everyone knows there's not a chance the RFL would risk the riots if Castleford played Alpha Centauri.

Leeds look bereft of ideas in attack and paper thin in defense........regardless of their recruitment/loss of players, their academy would in all probability be better.
Their coaching appointment was a mistake. I never rated Mac, but he's have gotten more out of this bunch than furner......Leeds are in trouble....they have Hudds, Wakey, HKR, Salford and Castleford to play before Magic......I can see them maybe getting 2 points from that lot....I still see london 2 points ahead of them by Magic, so if they lose at Anfield, I can see the pin being pulled on relegation.

It's all about opinions I guess, but it wouldn't surprise me if they won them all, then again, very little surprises me these days.
I really hope your right though.

| The present state of the game now to Me shows the farce of the golden point games. My team (or any other) could for example finish bottom one point behind Leeds or Hull with a better points difference but as it stands now they have had extra playing time to get that extra point, time denied all other teams in the league. In the modern era where so much money is needed to run a club relegation is such a devastating financial blow why should teams get extra time to gain points that they where not good enough to get in the allotted time?

| Pretty average? Considering the injuries we have done well to win as many as we have. Throw in 2 games v Salford and Frogs thrown away and we could be a little more comfortable. Warry and Saints aside there is little but attitude and playing the ref better between the other 10 sides on any given day. We played Hudds with 1 fit prop. Sts with 2. We had 3 tonight and looked dominant til Hauraki and Garbutt went off. Think a bit more credits due We kept Merrin quiet which pretty much negated their pack. Hurrell is a bit like BMM and the 2 tubs at Wakey.A real handful. I like Watkins but he looks injured? Dwyer tried hard again but as a team Leeds look shot. Not sure Ferres and Myler can turn it round?

| Imagine if Hurrell got injured. Could you imagine the team meeting about tactics. Furner and Sinfield with blank expressions on their faces "so lads, what shall we do now? Any ideas?". An injury to him would be catastrophic for the team of Leeds Rhinos and would certainly result in them being relegated.

Not all sides have so many points left to play for.
Leeds ONLY have a maximum of 34 points left to play for.
Mind you, they are only 2 points behind London, Huddersfield and Wigan and 4 behind a host of other clubs.
Saints and Wire still look like they are certainties for the top 2 spots though

Missed the point altogether, I don’t want extra time for anyone I want a point for a draw. What I don’t want is any team getting extra time because they scraped a draw & have the chance to get lucky. The Leeds Cas game was a perfect example of that! Cas effectively denied by a contentious decision a draw was the fair outcome of that game.

cas's failure to go for a last second drop goal was there for the taking but for some big headed overconfident player thought he knew better, that what cost them the points, wasn't you entertained and sat at the edge of your seat, I was, I even wanted cas to take the points

Which just shows how stupid it is. "We don't want draws, we need it more exciting, so we are going to have golden point! unless no one scores in ten minutes. then draws are fine." If its going to stay, it needs tweaking. So far there's been 2 golden points finishes, and they've both been won in one set by the team that won the coin toss. Not particularly exciting for me.

Wrong. Wigan won the coin toss and chose to kick off to Hull, believing we wouldn't get far enough down the field to get into a DG position. That of course would've been the case had they not conceded a penalty, gifting that all important field position and subsequently, the rest is history.

Would it be the RFL's or SLE's decision? I ask because I'm not sure that Elstone and his puppet masters are best mates with Hetherington.

| As a Saints fan I've no sympathies where Leeds are concerned but the are one of our three biggest fixtures of the season.
For them to be relegated and replaced by Toronto or Toulouse would see a drop in revenue for clubs from visiting fans.

| Widnes were replaced by London, but nobody bothered to post a conspiracy thread. It also caused the same away support revenue issue.
