If he did come back, I'd expect him to return to a Sydney club (almost certainly Souths) as that's where the family is and I think where his other half's from.

I think even that would depend on just how much Marwan is prepared to spend, personally I think he could pretty much break RL, even Union records in terms of salary and wouldn't dent his bank balance too much.

Whilst i understand your butt hurt, has the doctor not recently been quoted as saying he wanted to sign him, hence where the connection/reference has come in.

I think Salford would be a last resort or desperate move for a player with the good Doctor in charge. Burgess would just chuckle at the attempt from the Doc no matter what money is on the table.

Can't blame him. He must be bored to tears. Going from 35 tackles and 25 runs with the ball to 5 tackles and 4 runs with the ball per game must be extremely frustrating.

Get him back from the dearth he's going through.

Burgess won't be short of a few bob after his NRL & RU stints, he'd want to go to a club that is likely to win a trophy if he were to return. Even if Salford do start to get their act together it is a long way up from finishing in the middle 8s to reaching Grand Finals and Challenge Cup finals.

Personally I still think he's going to prove the doubters wrong and become a hit in RU.

I don't think it's about doubters about his rugby quality in that code, I think he's bored!

Remember when Jiffy said when he went back to play Union that he'd forgotten that you could get cold playing rugby after his time with ever-involvement in RL.
